(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 4 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Ni Laijian Detained

Mr. Ni Laijian was arrested on August 5, 2014, for attending a Falun Gong group study session at a practitioner's home. The officers were from the Pengzhou City 610 Office, and included Ji Huitian, the 610 Office head. The officers ransacked Mr. Ni's home. He was held in the Pengzhou City Detention Center for 15 days.

Mr. Sun Zhanguo was taken to the Pulandian City Detention Center on October 4, 2014.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Zhongfang's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Sun Zhongfang, in her late seventies, lives in the Fengtai District. She was arrested on September 28, 2014, for telling people the facts about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Kuangsheng Sentenced

Mr. Wang Kuangsheng was sentenced to five years in prison by the Hebi City Intermediate Court on September 4, 2014.

5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Ms. Shan Changying Arrested

Ms. Shan Changying, 72, was arrested by officers from the Yongantai Police Station, for telling people the facts about Falun Gong.

6. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wu Yuxia Facing Illegal Imprisonment

Ms. Wu Yuxia, in her fifties, was arrested by officers from the Zhimaying Police Station on April 22, 2014. She has been held for over five months. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials about the practice. Ms. Wu is facing an illegal prison term.

7. [Wenshui County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Mu Junlian Detained

Ms. Mu Junlian was arrested for delivering Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials on the afternoon of October 4, 2014. She was taken to the Liulin County Detention Center the following morning.
