(Minghui.org) I was arrested in 2003 and held in the Jilin City Women's Prison. Twice a year, every Falun Gong practitioner was given a physical, which included drawing of blood and x-rays. However, none of the criminal inmates were given such an exam, and none of the practitioners that displayed illness symptoms got treated.

Ms. Hao Guixian, in her 30s, about 165 cm tall, was a practitioner from Songyuan City, Jilin Province. In October 2004 she was told she needed surgery for a tumor in her uterus. She was taken to the hospital owned by the Forced Labor Administration, located in Changchun City, Jilin Province. Within three days she had died, according to an inmate who went with her to the hospital. The news stunned everyone.

In January 2004, four practitioners were taken to the Dehui City Detention Center. All of them were held in the education section except for one, who was said to have gone on a hunger strike to protest her detention and was consequently held in the Strict Discipline Section. About two days later she was said to have died.

Another practitioner called Hujie, who was taken to the detention center with the above practitioner, called her Xiaoxian. We later heard from a staff person named Chen Lihua, from Songyuan City, who was hired by the detention center to “transform” detained practitioners into renouncing Falun Gong: “When I went to 'transform' her yesterday she was in perfect health, but the next day she was dead.”
