(Minghui.org) Ms. Ai Chaoyu from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since 1999 because she practices Falun Gong. She recently discovered that the Party is using her name to slander Falun Gong on the Internet. The following is her account of the facts.
Fabricated Article in My Name Discovered by Chance
While my daughter was browsing the Internet on January 6, 2014, she searched for my name. To her great surprise she saw a report written in my name which was filled with distortions. It alleged that my family broke up because I practiced Falun Gong. This is typical of the CCP's immoral conduct in their persecution of Falun Gong over the past 14 years.
To expose the Party's shameless lies and clarify the facts, I would like to give my account of what I've experienced.
My Illnesses Disappeared and My Life Filled With Happiness
I was weak and sick beginning in my childhood, and after giving birth, my body became plagued with illnesses, including rheumatism, severe anemia, and breast hyperplasia. My husband had to do all the household chores and all our savings was spent on my medications. I was extremely miserable because of our hard life and the pain I was in due to my illnesses.
My mother gave me a copy of Master's teaching “Lecture in Sydney” in November 1997. I read it through all at once and felt that Falun Gong was wonderful. The next day I went to the local practice site, and began doing the exercises and studying the Fa with other practitioners. I began to conduct myself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Within a year, all my illnesses disappeared and I no longer had nightmares. I was also able to do household chores.
In appreciation for all the hard work my husband did while I was sick, I tried to do as much as I could after regaining my health. I took very good care of him and became very considerate of his parents. Our entire family became filled with happiness. We were soon able to save money, and also convert our single-story house into a two-story dwelling. My entire family was deeply grateful to Dafa for the wonderful benefits we enjoyed.
Forced to Divorce
When the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, practitioners lost their normal cultivation environment. Surrounded by the persecution, my husband and parents-in-law were affected by the terror and pressure.
My father-in-law passed away in December 2001. Three days after his death, police broke into my house at midnight and took all my Dafa books. My husband was so terrified that he didn't dare say a word when the police illegally arrested me and took me away.
My husband was on the verge of a mental breakdown over his father's death and my detention. He began drinking heavily even though he never touched alcohol before.
The CCP officials kept harassing my family, and monitoring and following us. Out of fear my husband divorced me in February 2002. I felt very sad, as our happy family was broken apart by the persecution.
Arrested Many Times
I was arrested by the police while distributing truth-clarification materials on the street in August 2002, and detained at a detention center for two weeks before being released. I was arrested again in late September and taken to a brainwashing center, where I was held until late December.
I was tricked into going to the local town council in May 2003. Another practitioner and I were later locked up for a week in the recreational center next to the town council.
I was again arrested in July 2003 and taken to a mountain resort, which was actually a secret brainwashing center. That night, I managed to get out. I ran through the dark barefoot and stepped on a piece of broken glass, which caused my foot's sole to bleed a lot. I kept running all night. By the next morning, I realized I hadn't gone very far, but was running around the brainwashing center. They mobilized local militia to patrol the roads. The cut on my sole was very painful, so I tore off a piece of my shirt to wrap around the wound. I didn't dare to move about during the day and had to wait until night. It took me two days and two nights to get out of the mountainous area.
Still Persecuted After My Second Marriage
I was forced to leave home and live a homeless life until 2004, when I remarried. My second husband, a fellow practitioner, was living with his mother and four-year-old daughter.
I took our daughter back to my hometown for a visit in June 2008. Someone reported me while I was speaking to people about Falun Gong. Officers from the 610 Office came to arrest me in front of a crowd. My son and my daughter held onto my hand and leg tightly, trying to stop the thugs from taking me away.
Amidst the heart-wrenching screams and cries of my children, I was carried to their car and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.
I held a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest. Four people held me down on a chair to force-feed me. They mixed some unknown drugs into the liquid. That evening, my back felt so sore that I could hardly sleep.
I was detained in the brainwashing center for four months before being released. The drugs they force-fed me with caused noticeable memory failure, and I also became slow in reacting.

My husband was also arrested in July 2011, and detained in the Meishan Detention Center for two months. While he was detained I was again forced to leave home to avoid persecution, leaving behind my elderly mother and my primary school-aged daughter.
My husband was once again arrested and taken to the Pi County Detention Center in August 2012. The officers took 20,000 yuan in cash from our home. My husband was later transferred to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center and detained there until October 2012.
The officers also went to my daughter's school to force her to tell them where I was, but without success.
It wasn't until the New Year in 2013 that our whole family were together again.
Conclusion
Cultivation in Falun Dafa gave me good health and brought happiness to my family, whereas the persecution imposed on us by the CCP has brought us nothing but misery and sadness!
My children are now grown, and when they read the report on the Internet with it's twisted facts, they saw even more clearly the shameless, wicked nature of the CCP.
