(Minghui.org) As the 2014 Chinese New Year approaches, many people in China sent in their greetings to revered Master though they are not practitioners themselves.
These well-wishers hail from different places, including Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province; Qinglong County, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province; Yushu City, Jilin Province; Fushun City, Liaoning Province; Pingshan County, Hebei Province; Kaijiang County, Sichuan Province; Beijing; Hongxinglong Grain Storage, Heilongjiang Province; Chengdu City; Zhoukou City, Henan Province; Xiangcheng, Henan Province; Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province; Chongqing, Huachuan County; Yanqing County; Fuyang, Anhui Province; Sanmenxia, Henan Province; Nanjing City; Zhangye City, Gansu Province; Iron and Streel Group in Shandong Province; and Beidaihe City, Hebei Province.
Most of these people have friends or family who practice Falun Gong, and it is through them that they learned the goodness of Dafa.
Some of them have been deeply influenced by Dafa, as in the example below of a couple in their late 60s from Qingyuan County. The two survived the disastrous flood of August 2013 in their home province of Liaoning.
The man wrote in his greetings that the flood destroyed their house, and he and his wife were swept up and rushed away by rising floodwaters. At the critical moment, his wife was lifted up by a pile of firewood and garbage and stayed afloat on top of it overnight. The water was three meters deep at the time. She safely returned to her husband the next day. The floodwaters had taken him to a bridge where a whirlpool diverted him to a safe place and a hotel owner rescued him.
He said that they had heard that good things come to those who support Dafa, and that he attributed their survival to the support they had shown Dafa, even while others around them had been turned against it by Party propaganda.
