(Minghui.org) China's National Games were held in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, August 31 to September 12, 2013. Prior to the games, police officers in Dalian City arbitrarily arrested Falun Gong practitioners, claiming it was necessary to “ensure the safety of the games.” Among those arrested was Ms. Xu Li.

Ms. Xu was arrested towards the end of August 2013, because she gave people Shen Yun DVDs. Her home was ransacked, and her personal property confiscated. She is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

Her trial was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. December 12, 2013, in the Ganjingzi District Court. However, it was rescheduled due to heavy snow and road blocks. The new date had not yet been determined. Ms. Xu's family hasn't been allowed to visit her for more than five months.

Daughter Not Allowed to Travel Abroad

Ms. Xu's daughter is a model and frequently travels abroad for work. This time, she wasn't allowed to leave the country to participate in a show because her mother was arrested.

Many people who know the facts about the persecution are complaining about the police: “No one is going after the criminals who commit murder and arson. Yet a good person who cultivates according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is persecuted. ”

An Exceptional Employee

Ms. Xu used to be a bus driver for a transportation company. Her husband lost his temper once and hit her head with a bottle full of hot water and hit her left eye. She was able to go back to work in two weeks because of the healing effect of Falun Gong exercises. She fully recovered her vision within another month.

When her eye was injured, Ms. Xu's employer demoted her to the “logistics” department to watch the gate and clean the yard. Her salary was also decreased. However, Ms. Xu didn't complain and continued to work diligently.

Every day she cleaned the yard and even helped her colleagues clean the windshields of the buses. Her coworkers all commented that they no longer saw trash or plastic bags everywhere. Ms. Xu's employer and colleagues consider her an exceptional employee.

A Good Neighbor and Wife

No one was in charge of cleaning the residential building where Ms. Xu lives, so she quietly did all the cleaning from the first floor to the top floor. Her neighbors all know that she is a Falun Gong practitioner.

Although her salary is meager, Ms. Xu carefully plans her husband's meals. She gets up early to prepare steamed buns, so that he eats well before going to work.

When she visits her parents-in-law, she usually buys something to bring over and helps clean their room. Her mother-in-law has commented that Ms. Xu is the best daughter-in-law.

Ms. Xu tries her best to help anyone she meets, whether she knows them or not. Many people she has helped asked, “Who you are and why you are so nice?” Ms. Xu tells them that she is a Falun Gong practitioner.
