Additional Persecution News from China – November 11, 2013 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 21 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Da County, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. He Chengyu, Ms. Hu Xingbi, Ms. Bi Dehui, and Ms. Zhou Hong from Heshi Town were illegally arrested on May 6, 2012. They were held in the Dazhou City Detention Center for months before they were sentenced to prison. Ms. He was given five years in prison; Ms. Hu, four years; Ms. Bi, three and a half years; and Ms. Zhou, three years. They were sent to Yangmahe Prison in Jianyang City.

2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Fangchen and Mr. Lin Jianping Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Deng Fangchen was sentenced to a three-year term and sent to Guangdong Women's Prison. Ms. Deng tried to appeal, but the court refused to accept it. Mr. Lin Jianping, a teacher, was sentenced to four years in prison.

3. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Guiying Detained

Ms. Wang Guiying is being held in the Renqiu Detention Center.

4. [Reqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Fu Yanfei's Salary Suspended

Ms. Fu Yanfei is former teacher at Huabei Petroleum Institute of Education. Her employer has suspended her salary for years.

5. [Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Shi Sumei Tortured to the Verge of Death

Ms. Shi Sumei was sentenced to six years in prison in August 2013. When she was sent to Fujian Women's Prison, she was on the brink of death. The prison officials refused to accept her, and returned her to Zhangzhou Hospital.

6. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wang Youjiang, Ms. Chen Jie, Ms. Ge Qingchun, and Ms. Lu Yueling were sentenced to prison in Chengguan District Court on September 24, 2013. Mr. Wang was given a six-year prison term and has appealed to the Lanzhou City Intermediate Court.

7. [Yanbian, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Deceived Into Going to a Brainwashing Center Zhang Wenxin, head of the Bajiazi Forest Bureau 610 Office, deceived four practitioners into going to a brainwashing center in Yanji Relief Station in September 2013. The practitioners are Ms. Li Yinghua, Ms. Pang Fengxian, Ms. Zhong Weijun, and Ms. Wang Weiping. They were incarcerated but have now returned home.

8. [Changsha, Hunan Province] Ms. Cai Xin'ou and Ms. Zhang Lingge Arrested

Ms. Cai Xin'ou, in her 40s, and Ms. Zhang Lingge, 45, were arrested on the evening of November 9, 2013. Officers from the Yunan Street Police Station made the arrests.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Dekun Detained

Mr. Sun Dekun was arrested on October 24, 2013. He was tortured until he was in serious condition and then taken to a hospital affiliated with the Shenyang City No.2 Detention Center for emergency treatment.

10. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Aiyun Arrested and Home Ransacked

Ms. Ying Aiyun, in her 60s, was arrested on November 5, 2013, when she distributed informational materials about Falun Gong. Three police officers ransacked her home the next morning.

11. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lin Jianping Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Lin Jianping was sentenced to four years in prison. His family has not received notification about his trial. They have no idea where Mr. Lin was sent.

12. [Wusheng County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Yulian and Ms. Yang Xiaolan Detained

Ms. Huang Yulian and Ms. Yang Xiaolan were arrested on the morning of November 1, 2013, when they spoke to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes. Both practitioners are being held in the Wusheng County Detention Center.

13. [Ordos, Inner Mongolia] Mother and Daughter Detained

Ms. Yang Fan, a teacher at Ordos No.6 High School, was arrested on October 26, 2013, by officers from the Dongsheng District Domestic Security Division. The police impounded her car and ransacked her home. They took her computer, bankbook, and other personal belongings before they took her mother, Ms. Yang Guizhen, into custody. Both mother and daughter are being held in the Dongsheng District Detention Center.

14. [Linyi, Shandong Province] Mr. Xie Chengcai Detained

Mr. Xie Chengcai and his wife were arrested at home on the afternoon of November 6, 2013, for talking to people online about Falun Gong. The police took their computer and Falun Gong books. The couple was taken to a detention center the next afternoon. Mr. Xie's wife returned home that same night.

15. [Zhengzhou, Henan Province] Ms. Jiang Xiurong Missing Since Late 2000

Ms. Jiang Xiurong, about 70, worked at Xihuan Gas Filling Plant. She went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in late 2000, but she never returned home, and her whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Hulun Buir, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Jia Guixin Arrested

Mr. Jia Guixin from Ganhe Town, Elunchun Banner, was arrested a few days ago.
