(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Chen Fengming and Others Arrested

Mr. Chen Fengming, Ms. Wang Zhiyuan, and his daughter Ms. Chen Tianyuan were arrested at home by officers from the local police station on the evening of June 27, 2013. Their computers and other items were confiscated.

Ms. Liu was arrested by officers from the Zhongjing Police Station on the same day. The police confiscated a white electric automobile, more than 3,000 yuan, an electric tricycle, and two mobile phones.

2. [Zhenping County, Henan Province] Ms. Xiaomin and Others Arrested

Ms. Xiaomin and Ms. Furong were arrested by officers from the local police station on June 27, 2013. Ms Yun was also arrested at home.

Mr. Laokui and two other practitioners were arrested near the Nanyang City Train Station by officers on the afternoon of June 27, 2013.

Ms. Feng Kai, about 30 years old, was arrested at home on June 25, 2013. She is detained at the Xuzhou City Mental Institution.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Hongzhi Arrested and Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Yang Hongzhi was arrested on June 26, 2013. He was sent to the Guangzhou City Forced Labor Camp.

5. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Liu Baishun and his mother, Mr. Yang Kaijun, and Ms. Li Xueying's husband were arrested by officers from the Qian'an City Domestic Security Division on the evening of June 27, 2013. The officers ransacked Mr. Yang Kaijun's home and confiscated two computers, Falun Dafa books, and a picture of the founder of Falun Dafa.

Mr. Deng He was arrested by officers from the Baiguo Police Station on June 27, 2013.

Ms. Yan Qiaoju was arrested by police officers from Yanshi City on June 26, 2013.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Larong Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhang Larong was arrested by officers from the Jianghan District 610 Office and the Tainhou Community on June 19, 2013. She is being held in the Jianghan District Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center.

9. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Diankun Arrested and Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Yang Diankun was arrested and sent to the Laizhou City Brainwashing Center on the afternoon of June 27, 2013.

10. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Peng Baoying and Ms. Liu Yongmei Arrested

Ms. Peng Baoying and Ms. Liu Yongmei were arrested by officers from the local police station on the evening of June 27, 2013. Their homes were ransacked.

11. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Taiying Arrested

Ms. Yang Taiying was recently arrested by officers from the local police station.

12. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Yanjun Arrested and Detained

Mr. Li Yanjun, an associate professor of the Southwest Petroleum University, was arrested by officers from the Luzhou City Domestic Security Division on the evening of June 26, 2013 when he was traveling on business. He is being held in the Luzhou City Detention Center.

13. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Lanlan and Ms. Zhang Chunju Arrested and Detained

Ms. Li Lanlan and Ms. Zhang Chunju were arrested by officers from the Jinzhuang County Police Station on June 27, 2013 while speaking to people about Falun Gong. They are being held in the Gaoyang County Detention Center.

14. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Shikang and Ms. Yang Taiying Arrested and Detained

Mr. Chen Shikang was arrested in front of his home on June 26, 2013. He is being held in the Luzhou City Naxi Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Taiying was arrested by officers from the Jiangyang District Domestic Security Division. She is being held in the Naxi Detention Center.

15. [Gai County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Li Xingjun and Mr. Cheng Yankai were sent to the Dalian Nanguanling Prison on June 4, 2013. Ms. Wang Ying was sent to the Dabei Prison on June 19, 2013.

16. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Yufen Arrested and Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Tian Yufen was arrested by officers including Mr. Hu Shaoqun from the Anqiu City 610 Office on June 25, 2013. She is being held in the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center.

17. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Xiaojing and Ms. Hou Surong Sentenced

Ms. Li Xiaojing and Ms. Hou Surong, both 68 years old, were arrested and sent to a police station on September 8, 2012 while distributing materials about Falun Gong. Ms. Hou Surong was released on bail pending a trial due to high blood pressure. Ms. Li Xiaojing was held more than 8 months in a detention center. They received a summons on June 5, 2013. Ms. Li Xiaojing was sentenced to 3 years in prison by the Kaifeng City Shunhe Hui Clan District Court on June 6, 2013. Ms. Hou Surong, on the same day, was sentenced to 2 years outside prison and suspended for 2 years.

18. [Chongqing] Ms. Luo Yaling Arrested

Ms. Luo Yaling was arrested by six officers from the Chongqing City Jiangbei District Domestic Security Division on June 28, 2013.

19. [Anping County, Hebei Province] Mr. Joe Zhanhe Arrested

Mr. Joe Zhanhe was arrested at home by two dozen officers, led by Captain Wang Jianzhong of the Anping County Police Department Patrol Division, from the Domestic Security Division of the Hezhiwen Police Station on June 27, 2013. He was sent to the local detention center.

20. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Province] Ms. Liu Hong Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Hong was arrested at a train station by plainclothes officers on the morning of June 28, 2013. She was sent to the Urumqi City Nanshan Banfangguo Brainwashing Center.
