Mr. Xu Feng was sentenced to three years in prison by Yilan County Court, and transferred to Jiamusi Prison on August 21, 2013. He was brutally persecuted in the detention center, and developed severe anemia and stroke-like symptoms. He is now hospitalized in the prison hospital.

Yilan County Court brought five Falun Gong practitioners to court on July 18, 2013. The verdict was announced ten days later. Mo Zhikui was sentenced to 12 years, Zhang Jinku, Sun Wenfu to five years each, Xu Feng and Li Dameng to three years each. They were transferred to Jiamusi Prison on August 21, 2013. Xu Feng was diagnosed with severe anemia and stroke. He could not move his left arm.

Mr. Xu Feng was arrested on March 29, 2013 by the police from Yilan County. There were over fifty Falun Gong practitioners arrested from March 29 to April 1, 2013. Xu Feng was held in Yilan No. 2 Detention Center, and was interrogated by the guards. He was electric-shocked with a high voltage lamp placed on his head and feet. He was deprived of sleep, a brutal method of torture which causes nervous breakdown without any apparent injury.

During the five months of detention, the guards instigated inmates to beat Mr. Xu Feng. They demanded money from Mr. Xu and would beat him harder when he refused them. The guards also tried to starve him. He was given a small bun with some contaminated broth that had mud in it. Mr. Xu Feng lost a significant amount of weight.

During his detention, a guard stole his coat worth 3000 yuan. When his wife asked about it, the guards denied that they took the coat.
