Additional Persecution News from China – September 4, 2013 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 16 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Xinji, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Jing Recently Arrested Again Ms. Li Jing was arrested on August 26, 2013. Her home was searched. With her family's help she was able to return home. It’s been reported that she was recently arrested by the 610 Office in Zhuangxinji City and was sent to Shijiazhuang No.2 Detention Center.

2. [Jinan, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Peiping Detained Mr. Zhang Peiping was arrested on the afternoon of August 30, 2013, when he was sending out Falun Gong related materials. He was sent to a detention center in a suburban area west of the city.

3. [Maoming, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhu Fangxia Detained Ms. Zhu Fangxia, 60, was arrested on the afternoon of August 28, 2013, by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station in the Maonan District. She is now in a detention center.

4. [Linquan, Anhui] Ms. Wang Cuilan Transferred to Detention Center Ms. Wang Cuilan was held in the Jieshou City Detention Center on August 13, 2013. She was later transferred to Fuyang City Detention Center.

5. [Fuping County, Hebei Province] Ms. Meng Xiuli Held Past the End of Her Term Ms. Meng Xiuli was illegally arrested nearly ten months ago. On September 2, her family contacted the Fuping Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee because Ms. Meng was being held past her release date. Deputy head Zhang Jishuang responded by threatening her family.

6. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hu Xiuyan Detained Ms. Hu Xiuyan in the Dadong District was arrested by local police on the morning on August 31, 2013. Her computer, printer, and Dafa books were taken. She is now in the Shenyang No.1 Detention Center.

7. [Jimo, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Yusheng Sent to Prison Mr. Song Yusheng, who was arrested on August 28, 2013, was transferred to Jinan Prison.

8. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Min and Ms. Yuanying Held in Brainwashing Center Ms. Wang Min and Ms. Yuan Ying are being held in Dalian Labor Camp Brainwashing Center.

9. [Guiyang, Guizhou Province] Ms. Qujing Detained Ms. Qujing was arrested by Xihu Road Police Station on November 8, 2012, and is now in the Nanming District Detention Center.

10. [Baiyin, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaomei and Ms. Gan Chengju Persecuted Ms. Zhang Xiaomei, a primary school teacher at Jingyuan Coal Group, and Ms. Gan Chengju, employed at Wei’s Coal Mine, were arrested and persecuted by Baiyin City 610 Office and Political and Legal Affairs Committee for more than one year.

11. [Dandong, Liaoning] Mr. Gao Wenyuan Detained Mr. Gao Wenyuan was arrested on August 28, 2013, and is now in the Dandong Detention Center.

12. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Baodong and Mr. Cui Chunbiao Sent to Prison Mr. Tian Baodong and Mr. Cui Chunbiao were secretly sentenced in June, 2013. Mr. Tian was transferred to Huolianzhai Prison in Benxi City and Mr. Cui to Shenyang No.1 Prison.

13. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Dongxu Detained Ms. Li Dongxu was arrested on August 30, 2013, and is currently detained in the Huanggu District Detention Center.

14. [Nongan Town, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Facing Sentencing Mr. Liu Wei, Ms. Zhang Guozhen, Mr. Yang Hongbiao, Mr. Chang Baojun, Mr. Xiu Jixue, Ms. Yang Wenjuan, and Ms. Wang Wenjuan were arrested on November 2nd and 3rd, 2012. They are now awaiting sentencing.
