(Minghui.org) On August 18, 2013, Falun Gong practitioners in Australia collected signatures in Burwood, a western suburb of Sydney, calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) unconscionable, illegal, and immoral practice of harvesting organ from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The practitioners held several large, eye-catching banners and posters outside of Burwood's busy subway station, exposing the Chinese regime's crimes against humanity. Many people immediately signed the petition after finding about the persecution.

“I know that the CCP has committed a lot of crimes,” said Sam Parsons, who immigrated to Australia from India many years ago. “Live organ harvesting is inhumane. Period. The perpetrators will go to hell!”

Helen, a young teacher, said that she had watched a special ABC News report about a Falun Gong practitioner who had been severely persecuted for his faith.

“I will let people around me know about the persecution,” she said. “I know the Party is evil, so I will do my part to help stop the persecution.”

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Han said that she goes to Sydney’s Chinatown every day to collect signatures. One day, she approached a group of Westerners and told them about the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

A man named Stacey asked Ms. Han for some informational materials to take home with him. The next day, he returned and told her that he was shocked to find out about the Chinese regime's practice of live organ harvesting.

“Why is the Party persecuting Falun Gong?” he asked Ms. Han. “It doesn't make any sense!”

“Falun Gong teaches people to be good,” explained Ms. Han, “which is exactly why the Party was so afraid of it. It knew that as more and more people took up the practice, the harder it would be for the Party to conceal its evil-to-the-core nature. And thus, the then-president of China, Jiang Zemin, initiated the persecution of Falun Gong back on July 20, 1999.”

“Is it OK for me to take a signature form with me so that my friends can sign it?” Stacey asked. Ms. Han handed him a couple of forms. He later returned with over 20 signatures from his friends, showing their strong support for Falun Gong and condemning the Chinese Party for its brutal nature.

“I have already signed the petition,” said a man from Shanghai, China. “As a native Chinese, I feel compelled to speak out against the Party's frequent incidences of injustice and cruelty. You Falun Gong practitioners are doing great! I really admire you all.

“I am well aware that the CCP and China are not the same thing,” he said as he held up a copy of the Epoch Times , an independent newspaper that offers truthful coverage of China events. “Whatever I want to say about the evil Party has already been printed in this newspaper!”
