(Minghui.org) Most government officials in China, such as police departments as well as courts and other justice departments, do not follow the rule of law and legal procedures when arresting, incarcerating Falun Gong practitioners. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) decided to ban Falun Gong in 1999 and started to viciously persecute its practitioners. The following individual is only one of many who have been persecuted unjustly.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lu Bageng from Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province was arrested by local police on March 25, 2013. He was subsequently put on trial and the judge did not produce any legal documents during this process. Lu’s family was prohibited from attending the hearing.

Lu Bageng is sixty-three years old, and his entire family practices Falun Gong. His wife was tortured to death during the persecution. His son was imprisoned after being expelled from school, but was finally released.

At around 9:00 a.m. on February 25, 2013, a policeman surnamed Dong from the Sipailou Police Station led three plainclothes police and broke into Mr. Lu’s home. They called instructor Yin, who was in charge of the Jingkou District610 Office in Zhenjiang City and the National Security Team. Once he arrived, they took Mr. Lu to the “People’s Liberation Army Hospital 359”, where he was forced to undergo a physical examination. Mr. Lu was subsequently taken to the Zhenjiang Detention Center. The detention center refused to take him due to his poor health. Thereafter, they took him to the Third People’s Hospital in the city, where he was re-examined and later taken to the City Detention Center. Mr. Lu was once again rejected due to the exam indicating poor health.

Police officer Dong and two others were ordered to take Lu Bageng to the Jingkou District Court, Zhenjiang City, where he received a so-called “trial”. However, the two judges never produced any documents during the entire trial. Mr. Lu’s family and all others were prohibited from attending the trial.

At around 2:00 p.m. on June 21, 2012, Lu Bageng was arrested on Sicha Road in the twenty-first Century Park. He was taken to the basement of the Public Security Bureau in Jingkou District, Zhenjiang City, where police threatened him. Under such circumstances, Lu Bageng still kindly clarified the truth to them. He was released at around 8:00 p.m. that night.
