(Minghui.org) Seven practitioners have been illegally arrested in the Acheng District of Harbin City since March 20, 2013. Several practitioners' homes were also ransacked by police.
The arrests were carried out per the order of Jiang Dayong, the newly appointed director of the Acheng Police Department. He specifically instructed his officers, including Yang Ziheng, chief of the Domestic Security Division, to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
Ms. Wang Qiuxia was arrested by Yang Ziheng and officers from the Jinshangjing Police Station on March 20, 2013. She is being held at the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center.
Ms. Duan Xiufang, a retired teacher, was arrested by Yang and three other officers from the Domestic Security Division on March 26, 2013. Her home was ransacked.
Mr. Xie Xianbin, also a retired teacher, was reported to the police for practicing Falun Gong on April 3, 3013. [ Editor's note: The authorities of the Chinese communist regime often offer monetary awards to citizens who report Falun Gong practitioners.] Yang and two other officers came to his home to arrest him on May 20, 2013, but nobody opened the door. The three policemen returned the next day. They arrested Mr. Xie, ransacked his home, and attempted to place him in a brainwashing facility but failed. Mr. Xie was released after 4 p.m. that afternoon.
Ms. Zhao Caihong and Ms. Liu Guiying were reported to the police for practicing Falun Gong on June 5, 2013. They were arrested by officers from the Daling Police Station shortly after 10 p.m. They were transferred to the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center after being held at the Acheng No. 2 Detention Center for 15 days.
Mr. Fu Ge and Ms. Han Shuqing were reported to the police for practicing Falun Gong on June 15, 2013. They were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division and are being held at the Acheng No. 2 Detention Center.
