(Minghui.org) Fourteen years have passed since former Chinese Communist Party head Jiang Zemin launched his attack on Falun Gong, yet practitioners of this wonderful practice have never wavered in their faith or stopped their efforts to expose the CCP deceit both inside and outside of China.
Jiang Zemin once vowed to annihilate Falun Gong in three months, yet the past 14 years have seen Falun Gong garnering more and more support and the Chinese regime losing ground by the day. From average citizens to government officials, people all over the world are condemning the government-sanctioned torture and killing of practitioners.
It is only a matter of time before the perpetrators pay for their crimes and Falun Gong's reputation is restored. We hope that those who are still indifferent to the atrocities being committed against Falun Gong will listen to their conscience and do whatever they can to help put an end to this unprecedented crime.
We again ask the current Chinese leaders to immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong and to bring all perpetrators to justice. We also demand compensation to practitioners for all the losses they suffered.
International Community Expresses Concern over the Mistreatment of Falun Gong
More than 30 countries have allowed lawsuits to be filed against the chief perpetrators, including Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Zhou Yongkang, Liu Jing, and Zeng Qinghong, who have been sued for torture, genocide and crimes against humanity.
Many elected officials in democratic countries have voiced their concerns over the Chinese regime's brutal treatment of Falun Gong practitioners. For instance, the U.S. House passed Resolution No. 605 in 2010. At present, both the Senate and the House are collecting sponsors for Resolution 281 that calls for the Chinese regime to immediately stop the state-sanctioned practice of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, especially Falun Gong practitioners.
More and More Chinese Citizens Are Standing up for Falun Gong
Due to the wide dissemination of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, many Chinese have lost their illusions and hopes for the Party. More than 140 million have quit the Party and its affiliated organizations.
Recent years have also seen people who were previously fearful of retaliation now brave enough to stand up for Falun Gong.
When Mr. Liu Fengcheng of Qixin Village, Boli County, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested on March 29, 2013, sixteen households in his village wrote a joint letter confirming he was a good person and added their fingerprints. The village officials and the township police station stamped their official seals on the letter requesting his unconditional release.
Ever since the authorities in Cang County, Hebei Province, put 70-year-old Mr. Sun Yuqiang in Tangshan Prison in June 2013, more than 2,000 people have signed a petition demanding his release and punishment for the responsible parties.
Such cases are now becoming more common in China, attesting to the wider support that Falun Gong is receiving.
Falun Gong teaches people to be good. Practitioners follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their daily lives and are considerate of others.
We need people who are willing to sacrifice for others and who are not afraid of being taken advantage of. We need people who can stand up to power and hold fast to their belief.
Falun Gong practitioners are exactly such people. During the past 14 years, they've been fighting for their right to be good. They are not only safeguarding their own rights to freedom of belief and speech, but also the rights of all Chinese people.
