(Minghui.org) Ms. Cao Qiongzhi, 63, is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Putuo District of Shanghai. She was illegally arrested by agents from the Jiading District 610 Office and Putuo District 610 Office on June 17, 2013. Police also ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, copier, and other items.
Ms. Cao is being held in the Putuo District Detention Center. An official arrest warrant was issued for her following the arrest.
Previously, Ms. Cao had been arrested for practicing Falun Gong in February 2009. Mr. Ma Laiyan and his wife, elderly Ms. Feng Guiying and others were arrested at the same time. Ms. Feng was released a month later.
In mid-February 2009, a co-worker reported Ms. Cao to the police while she spoke to people about Falun Gong and handed out informational materials. Agents from the Changning 610 Office arrested her and sent her to a forced labor camp for a year.
Health Improved with Falun Gong Practice
Ms. Cao had suffered from many ailments, including kidney disease. She also had difficulty walking as a result of a fractured thigh bone. Doctors said that she would be crippled for life.
Soon after Ms. Cao started practicing Falun Gong, however, her health problems disappeared. She could walk very well and even looked younger.
Ms. Cao was very grateful to Falun Gong. After the communist regime launched a campaign of violence and slander to suppress the practice, she thus felt compelled to clarify the facts to the public, so that people could understand the truth about Falun Gong and not be deceived by the regime's lies.
