(Minghui.org) Mr. Du Yujun, a farmer in Tancheng County, Shandong Province, was sent to the No. 2 Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for practicing Falun Dafa. Police officers Li Gongmin, Yue Zhenyu, Yan Dongwen and Chen Lei brutally beat him repeatedly, and Mr. Du became mentally disordered.
Before Mr. Du practiced Falun Dafa, his arm was dislocated due to an injury. Although the bones went back into position after treatment, they were easily dislocated if he carried anything heavy. He was consequently not able to do much physical work. Later, with the help of some kindhearted people, Mr. Du began to practice Falun Dafa. Soon after, his dislocated arm returned to normal. He could do construction work in high-story buildings without any problem. People who heard about him all said, “Falun Gong is really miraculous!”
Mr. Du was very happy about his full recovery. He often told people about his personal experience and the goodness of Falun Dafa. Because of this, many with a predestined relationship with Falun Dafa believed in it and understood it was Jiang Zemin who initiated the persecution, incited hatred, and staged the “Tiananmen Self-Immolation." They were able to recognize the evilness of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and therefore quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
In the summer of 2012, the authorities caught Mr. Du and sentenced him to one and half years of forced labor in the Shandong No. 2 Forced Labor Camp.
Mr. Du firmly believed in Falun Dafa, so he did the exercises and refused to be “reformed.” The police in the forced labor camp often swore at and beat him. In May 2013, officers Yue Zhenyu and Yan Dongwen tortured Mr. Du for a long time by beating, kicking, slapping, and verbally abusing him. At one time, officer Chen Lei dragged Mr. Du out of bed in the middle of the night and slapped his face more than 20 times.
The brutal and intense torture affected Mr. Du Yujun mentally. He sometimes woke up at night and ran down the corridor, frightened.
At one time, Li Gongmin, the head of the No. 8 brigade, summoned the inmate in charge of the night shift and asked, “Tell me, why does Du Yujun behave so strangley?” The inmate said, “Would you like to hear a lie or the truth?” “The truth, of course,” said Li. “Du Yujun's mental problems were caused by your beating, threatening, and verbally abusing him,” the inmate replied. Li Gongmin shouted, “Don't repeat that ever again!”
Li Gongmin told the police to take Mr. Du to the hospital. It is unknown what kind of injection Mr. Du was given in the hospital, but afterwards his condition deteriorated drastically.
Unwilling to take any responsibility, the forced labor camp authorities sent Mr. Du home without any prior notice to his family or any proper documentation.
Mr. Du Yujun's current condition is unknown.
