(Minghui.org) Master has said: “And mankind’s state is changing as well. People’s perception of Dafa is changing too, almost as if people’s minds are gradually clearing up. The change is like ice thawing.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2010 New York Fa Conference”)
Today's people are getting a better understanding of Dafa, with a strong sense of justice and are very supportive of our truth-clarification efforts.
In the spring of 2012, a lot of homes in our area were being demolished. One day, as I was clarifying the facts to a group of demolition workers, a man walked over and asked, “What's going on?” I handed him a copy of Blessings from the Heavens and said, “You will be blessed after learning the truth.” He took the pamphlet, slapped his thigh and said excitedly, “Alas! I've finally found you!” He then started explaining the truth about Falun Gong to another group of people.
After I finished helping some people withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, I walked over to see how he was doing. He was talking very excitedly while pointing at the pamphlet, “Let's talk about April 25. The Communist Party claims that Falun Gong carried out a siege and attacked Zhongnanhai (the central compound of the CCP).
“It is a lie. I've seen footage from Falun Gong media sources: The practitioners were standing on the roadside in an orderly and quiet manner, without blocking any traffic while waiting for the issues to be resolved. How could that be called a 'siege?' They had no banners or slogans and took no action. How could that be called an 'attack?' The so-called 'siege and attack' was obviously made up by the CCP to deceive people. Now look at the pamphlet. Every word makes sense and speaks the truth. They want to practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, but the CCP forbids it. The party is really wicked.”
I added to his efforts by exposing the truth about the staged “Tiananmen Self- immolation” incident, as well as the CCP's history of killing and its past campaigns aimed at persecuting the Chinese people. Then I helped a number of people in the audience withdraw from the party and its affiliated organizations. The man told me, “I'm the watchman for this construction site and often find informational materials at my door. I make a point of reading them all, but I've never met one of you in person, until today. I want to read your Master's book and see what he says, is that OK?” I said, “Sure. I will lend you a copy. You can keep it if you like; otherwise give it back to me. Be sure to wash your hands before reading, because this is the “Buddha Fa,” and you need to show respect.” He said, “OK.” He disclosed that he was also a party member, so I helped him withdraw and brought him a copy of Zhuan Falun the next day.
Soon it was late fall. One day, I carried more than ten calendars to the construction site and stood by the bike parking area and entrance and gave a copy to whoever passed by after work and encouraged them to withdraw from the CCP. As one worker passed by, he glanced behind me and then said to me, “I don't want it.” I turned around and saw the watchman from the other day. I then told that worker, “It's OK. He knows the truth.”
The watchman stepped up and I said, “He's afraid of you and didn't dare to take it.” The watchman then took all the calendars from me, handed a copy to that worker and said, “What else would you want if you don't want this? Take it home, and go to her when you're ready to quit the CCP.” The worker indeed came to me to submit his name for withdrawal. The watchman then gave a copy to whoever passed by, and I helped him or her quit the CCP.
As he was giving out the calendars he said, “Falun Gong calendar, who wouldn't want it? It's not easy to find!” I often added, “There are so many natural disasters and man-made catastrophes. Heaven is going to eliminate the CCP. Be quick to quit and be safe! Falun Buddha Fa is saving people. Remember Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good.” We spoke quickly as everybody was rushing to go home, but a number of people did stop to make their withdrawal from the Party.
There was only one copy left and a worker wanted it. The watchman said, “I want it, I don't want to give it to him.” I replied, “Let's give it to him. It's not easy for him to get one. I'll bring you another one tomorrow.” He said with a wry smile, “What's the use of giving it to him? If you give it to me, I could talk to people.” As he was saying this, he handed the calendar to that person. I smiled and said, “You are choosing a bright future for yourself.”
I ran out of calendars and hurried back home to fetch another 20. It was getting dark, and the watchman had finished his shift and left. People passed by in groups, so I had no time to speak in detail and just told them these were Falun Gong truth-clarification calendars, and they would be blessed if they understand the truth about the persecution. People took them, and I quickly ran out again. That evening, I helped more than 10 people withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
On another occasion, I visited a different construction site and clarified the truth to a foreman who told me where to find people who were working. The demand was so great that I gave out more than 70 calendars that day and helped 66 people to withdraw from the party. I frequented many construction sites during that period and normally gave out 50-60 calendars and helped 40-50 people quit each day. Even on quieter days, I could help 20-30 people quit.
These cases happened more than once in the countryside too. One day I met some people in a greenhouse, and after they learned the truth, they spread the word to others. I only needed to say a few sentences before they agree to quit the CCP. One day, I went to the country and ran into a group of 10 people harvesting Chinese cabbages and clarified the facts to them while they were working.
As I was about to leave, a woman in her 30's, who had just withdrawn from the CCP, said, “Follow me, I'll take you to see more people. The CCP is really wicked. Everybody should quit.” She told whoever she saw on the way, “Heaven is going to eliminate the CCP. Hurry and let her help you quit.” It only took a little effort on my part before they eagerly agreed to quit. I then told them to remember “Falun Dafa is good.” I came to another group selling cabbages, a number of them immediately exclaimed: “I'm a party member. I quit!” There were also others who had joined the Youth League or Young Pioneers and also agreed to quit.
Nowadays, people are disgusted by the CCP, so persuading them to quit is not as difficult as before. How many sentient beings are waiting to be saved, and how many sentient beings are looking for a righteous way? Master said,
“This is especially so for the Dafa disciples in Mainland China: each must come out and clarify the truth, bringing it to every field and valley, mountain and hill, not omitting a single area where there are people.” “Keep up your righteous thoughts and righteous actions, keep a clear head, and rationally and comprehensively save the world's people.” (“Let go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People”)
My fellow practitioners, how could we not follow Master's words to do the three things? We know that Dafa disciples are the sole hope of salvation for sentient beings in each region and nation. We cannot disregard the enormity of coming out to help save people due to our own fear or rationalizations. If sentient beings miss their opportunities of being saved, then we must take on the burden of that responsibility! As I've discussed, even non-practitioners are helping us clarify the truth; shouldn't we Dafa disciples do better?
