(Minghui.org) On August 18, 2013, the Falun Gong informational site was set up as usual in London Chinatown. Tourists from all over the world signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China, including many Chinese tourists. Among the visitors from China, many decided to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations after learning more about the CCP.
Former Chinese Government Official: It Is Hard to Be a Good Person in the Communist Party System
A middle-aged Chinese man was watching the practitioners doing the Falun Gong exercises. When a practitioner handed him an informational booklet with photos, he said that he had already read it and he agreed with the content. So they began to talk.
“I quit the Chinese Communist Party in mainland China four years ago,” the man said. “I still have the certificate (showing that he quit the CCP). A Falun Gong practitioner helped me to do that. I know a lot about Falun Gong. Actually, many Chinese people know the facts. But they are so scared [of the CCP] that they dare not to speak up.
“I used to work in government. I couldn't go along with the way that other officials conducted themselves. I wanted to be an honest person but they overruled me. It is really difficult to be a good person in the Communist Party system. Those officials are not only after bribes of money, but also take sexual bribes. They often go to entertainment places, with a prostitute on each arm. I didn't want to be like them, so they excluded me like an alien.
“The Communist Party won't be around long. They can't maintain themselves because they suppress the people so terribly. The people will rebel just as you see in the news. There are so many 'riots' (people standing up against the government to protect their basic rights). I'd had enough, so I managed to go abroad. I have been in the UK for a few years. I feel free and relaxed in this country.”
Chinese Youth: The Chinese Communist Party Won't Be Around Long
A practitioner handed a booklet to a Chinese youth. The young man said that he had one already. The practitioner then asked him whether he understood that Falun Gong is good and was wrongly framed by the CCP. He answered that he knew the facts because he had software to break through the “Great Firewall” [the CCP's Internet blockade] and he read news about Falun Gong from overseas websites. He said that the younger generation like him doesn't believe the Communist Party's propaganda. After talking with the practitioner further, the young man quit the Communist Youth League, an organization affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party.
Chinese Students Quit the Young Pioneers
Two teenager boys were watching from the side. The practitioner walked up to them to start a conversation. One boy took a booklet. The other asked, “Do Falun Gong set themselves on fire?” The practitioner answered with a question of her own, “Do we look like we set ourselves on fire?” The boy shook his head and smiled, a little embarrassed. The practitioner continued, “I knew you heard that lie from the 'Moral Education' book in China, right? Those are just lies the Chinese Communist Party used to deceive you. The booklet I just gave you explains it very clearly. You should read it carefully.”
She then went through the booklet with them and talked about the practice of Falun Gong and how practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their daily lives. In the end, the two boys quit the Young Pioneers, another organization affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party.
I'll Take Some Photos to Bring Back to China
During the activity, a young Chinese man asked if he could take some photos to bring home to China. A practitioner assured him, “Yes, you can take photos. After you go back to China, not only show them to your family, but also show your friends and other people. The more the better.”
After taking photos, the young man took some truth-clarification materials and talked with the practitioners. He was given software to break through the CCP's Internet blockade, after which he decided to quit the Communist Youth League with a pseudonym.
Couple from Tibet Quit the Young Pioneers
A practitioner talked to a couple reading the display boards “the Journey of Falun Dafa.” The man said that they were from Tibet, not far from Sichuan Province. The woman could speak fluent Chinese and said that the Chinese Communist Party also persecuted the Tibetans.
The practitioner asked them if they had been in school in mainland China and asked if they wanted to quit any CCP-affiliated organization. The woman quit the Communist Youth League, then talked to the man in Tibetan. The man agreed to quit as well.
