Additional Persecution News from China – July 4, 2013 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiyu Imprisoned

Ms. Wang Xiyu was transferred to the Jinan Women's Prison on May 29, 2013.

2. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Daoqun, Ms. Zhou Xueying, and Ms. Cao Lianfen were arrested by local urban management officers of Chengguan from the Shigu Town on July 2, 2013, while speaking to people about Falun Gong. They are being held at the local police station.

3. [Langfang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jin Wenya Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Jin Wenya was arrested by officers from the Beixinliu Police Station on the morning of June 25, 2013 while speaking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She is currently being held at the Langfang Brainwashing Center.

4. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Haiying and Mr. Liu Ganyong Detained

Ms. Wang Haiying and Mr. Liu Ganyong were arrested by officers from the local police station on the afternoon of June 27, 2013. Officers ransacked their homes and confiscated approximately 20,000 yuan in cash, along with a printer, computer and other property. They are being held in the Luoyang City Detention Center.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Qingying and Ms. Zhang Yufen Arrested

Ms. Lü Qingying was arrested by officers from the local police station, as instructed by the Shulan City 610 Office on the morning of July 2, 2013. She was sent to a brainwashing center. Ms. Zhang Yufen was also arrested and sent to a brainwashing center by officers from the local police station the same day.

6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Peng Xiaomeng Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Peng Xiaomeng was arrested by officers from the Jiansanjiang 859 Farm Police Station on June 20, 2013, and sent to the Qinglongshan Brainwashing Center.

7. [Aba County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qu Mingrong Arrested and Her Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Qu Mingrong was arrested by officers from the Aba County Maierma District Police Station on the evening of June 30, 2013. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Xiuzhen Arrested

Ms. Gao Xiuzhen, 79, was arrested by officers from the Zunhua City Tiechang Town Police Station on May 23, 2013 while speaking to people about Falun Gong. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and other property. She was released the same day.

9. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Yang, Mr. Li Yuhang, and Ms. Hongyan were arrested by officers from their local police station around June 23, 2013. Mr. Li’s home was ransacked.

10. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Kaili Disabled

Ms. Lu Kaili was disabled as a result of persecution in the Panjin Prison in the summer of 2012. She was transferred to the Jinzhou Prison in 2012.

11. [Lixin County, Anhui Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Mr. Xie Jiaqi, Ms. Kang Yongchui, Ms. Liu Yun, Ms. Yun Xia, Ms. Sun Li, and Mr. Zhao Guofeng were arrested by officers from the local police station on the evening of June 28, 2013 while distributing materials with information about Falun Gong. They are currently being held in the Lixin County Detention Center.

12. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Fenglan Arrested

Ms. Li Fenglan was arrested at home by several plainclothes officers around June 20, 2013.

13. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Jinsong and Ms. Ji Sentenced

Ms. Zhu Jinsong and Ms. Ji were arrested and sent to the Heze City Detention Center by officers from the Danyang City Police Station on July 5, 2012. They were sentenced to four years in prison by the Heze City Kaifa District Court in mid-June 2013.

14. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Jiao Elian Arrested

Ms. Jiao Elian (alias), in her 40s, was arrested by officers from the local police station on July 2, 2013.
