Additional Persecution News from China – June 6, 2013 (34 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties in 14 provinces. In this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 38 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Mr. Hua Lianyou Persecuted to Near Death

Mr. Hua Lianyou from Tianjin was arrested on May 23, 2012, and immediately started a hunger strike. He has lost a lot of weight and is unable to care for himself. He is in critical condition, but officials at the Tianjin Haibin Prison still refuse to release him.

Ms. Chen Chunxin from the Xian'an District of Xianning City was arrested on June 1, 2013, while distributing truth clarification materials around the Yong'an Police Station. She is being held at the Chibi Detention Center.

3. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Shu Juan and Ms. Xiong Yonglan Arrested

Ms. Shu Juan and Ms. Xiong Yonglan were arrested on May 23, 2013. They are being held at the Nanchang County Detention Center.

4. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Shi Changzhou and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Shi Changzhou and two other practitioners from Mei County were arrested on June 4, 2013, while distributing truth clarification materials. They are being held at the Mei County Detention Center.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fang Hua and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Fang Hua and her husband were arrested on the morning of June 3, 2013.

6. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yanxia and Ms. Fu Hua Arrested

Ms. Sun Yanxia and her husband from Shaoguo Town, Nong'an County were arrested on June 3, 2013, by officers from the Shaoguo Town Police Station. Ms. Fu Hua was also arrested.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Pang Li Arrested

Ms. Pang Li, in her fifties, from the Xichang residential area in Chaoyang District, Changchun City was arrested just outside of her home on June 4, 2013. Her home was then ransacked.

8. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xiao Xizhen Arrested

Ms. Xiao Xizhen, from the Wumahe District in Yichun City, was arrested outside of her house on the morning of May 27, 2013. She is being held at the Cuiluan Detention Center.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Xiaohua Arrested

Ms. Cao Xiaohua was arrested on June 3, 2013 at her home by officers from the Changchun City Police Department.

10. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Qingmei Arrested

Ms. Meng Qingmei, in her seventies, from Shan County, is being held at the Heze City Detention Center. She has been on a hunger strike for twenty days, and her family is not allowed to see her.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaohua Transferred to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Xiaohua was detained at the Erzhigou No. 1 Detention Center for 15 days. She should have been released on June 4, 2013, but was instead taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.

12. [Anyue County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lenɡ Jiafu Arrested

Mr. Lenɡ Jiafu, in his sixties, from the No. 1 Village, Yaoshi Town, Anyue County in Ziyang City, was arrested on the morning of May 13, 2013 by Jiang Mingquan, director of Anyue County Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Longtai Town Police Station. His computer, printer, and 6000 yuan in cash were confiscated.

13. [Binhai County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Lan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xu Lan from Binhai County, who was sentenced to a forced labor camp term, should have been released on May 13, 2013. However, she was instead taken to the Xinghua Brainwashing Center in Jiangsu Province on May 12, by officials from the provincial Forced Labor Camp Bureau and Binhai County 610 Office.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huo Qidong Arrested

Mr. Huo Qidong from Liumalu, Qixian Street, Tiexi District in Shenyang City, was arrested on the afternoon of June 4, 2013, and his home was ransacked. His wife was forced to leave home in order to avoid further persecution.

15. [Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Chunli, Ms. Xiao Piao, and Mr. Tai Hao Taken to Jilin Prison

Ms. Liu Chunli, Ms. Xiao Piao, and Mr. Tai Hao were taken to Jilin Prison in late May 2013.

16. [Yilong County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Su Lan Arrested

Ms. Su Lan from Jincheng Town, Yilong County in Sichuan Province was arrested on June 4, 2013, while distributing truth clarification materials in Sanjiao Town. She has been taken to the Xinzheng Detention Center.

17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiang Dexin, Mr. Meng Qingjie, and Mr. Zhai Hui Secretly Sentenced

Mr. Jiang Dexin, Mr. Meng Qingjie, and Mr. Zhai Hui were secretly sentenced by the judge from Shenyang City Intermediate Court. Mr. Jiang Dexin and Mr. Meng Qingjie were sentenced to six years in prison and Mr. Zhai Hui was sentenced to four years in prison. They have been on a hunger strike in the detention center and have become very weak.

18. [Beijing] Mr. Yu Hong Arrested

Mr. Yu Hong was being held at the second team at Beijing Xin'an Forced Labor Camp. He was put in solitary confinement, forbidden from using the toilet, deprived of sleep, and forced to sit on a small stool for extended periods of time, which resulted in the swelling of his feet and legs. He was also force-fed because he was holding a hunger strike to protest being abused. He was later taken to the training group in the labor camp.

Mr. Cao Dazhang from Duchang County was arrested with his daughter on the morning of June 5, 2013, by officers from the local Domestic Security Division. His house was ransacked.

20. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Shuhong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shuhong, from the Hongshan District Chinese Medicine Hospital, was arrested on May 18, 2013, by officers from the Hongshan District Police Department, and was held at the Hongshan District Detention Center. She was transferred to the Hongshan District Brainwashing Center on May 31, 2013, by officials from the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office.

21. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Deqing Arrested

Mr. Wang Deqing from Huanren County was arrested on the morning of June 4, 2013, by officer Wang Qi and two other officers from the Huanren County Domestic Security Division.

22. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Jianmin Arrested

Mr. Wang Jianmin and another practitioner, with the surname Cui, from Yanji City, were arrested on June 4, 2013 by officers from the Qinghe Police Station in Changchun City.

23. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiuping Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiuping from Wei County was arrested on June 3, 2013 while distributing truth clarification materials, and her home was ransacked. A computer and a picture of Falun Dafa's founder Mr. Li Hongzhi were confiscated.

24. [Wuhe County, Anhui Province] Ms. Wang Ping Beaten by Police

Ms. Wang Ping is from Wuhe County in Bengbu City. She went to officer Shen Shijun's home, a director of the local Domestic Security Division, on the evening of May 30, 2013, and asked him to return all her personal belongings which had been confiscated. He immediately began beating her. Ms. Wang was kicked in the mouth, causing bleeding. She lay on the ground in the rain and couldn't move. Wu Feng, a relative of Shen Shijun, beat her with a wooden board which caused a large cut on her head and more bleeding. Ms. Wang then went to the hospital and had 7-8 stitches in the corner of her eye. The back of her head had a 3 cm. (1.2 in.) laceration.

25. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qin Xueqing and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Qin Xueqing and his wife were arrested at their home by officers from the Changle 610 Office, Police Department, and Domestic Security Division, on the afternoon of June 3, 2013, and their whereabouts are unknown. Their mini van, a computer, cell phone, satellite television receiving antenna, and Dafa books were confiscated.

26. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Zhongxue Arrested

Mr. Li Zhongxue was arrested on May 31, 2013 while he was working. His home and his son's home were ransacked. His family has become homeless in order to avoid being abused.

27. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Hua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Hua from Dawang Village, Fengshui Town, Zhangdian District, Zibo City was arrested in May 2013 while clarifying the truth. She is being held at the local detention center.

28. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Niu and Ms. Zhen Arrested

Ms. Niu and Ms. Zhen were arrested by plainclothes police around mid-day on June 4, 2013, while informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong at the Liuchangshan Road bus stop. They were taken to the Erqixincun Police Station, and their homes were ransacked. They are being held at the Jinan City Detention Center.

29. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Meifeng Arrested

Ms. Zhou Meifeng from Hanting Electric Power Bureau in Weifang City was arrested on May 29, 2013 when she was distributing truth clarification materials. She is being held at the Weifang City Detention Center.

30. [Tonghua County, Jilin City] Ms. Li Shumin Forced to Become Homeless

Ms. Li Shumin and her son Mr. Liu Dong were on their way to Qingdao City, when they passed a security check. Police found some Dafa articles in Mr. Liu's electronic book. Mr. Liu was taken away and detained for 24 hours, and Ms. Li was forced to flee. Her home was ransacked and her truth clarification materials were confiscated.

31. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Xiaojun, Ms. Chen Fu and Others Arrested

Officers from the Lijiatuo Police Station in the Banan District, Chongqing broke into Ms. Chen Xiaojun's home on the afternoon of June 4, 2013 and arrested Ms. Chen Xiaojun, Ms. Chen Fu, and three other practitioners who were studying Dafa materials. They were taken to the Lijiatuo Police Station overnight, and were not allowed to sleep. They were threatened and slapped in the face. Three of them were released the next morning, but Ms. Chen Xiaojun and Ms. Chen Fu's whereabouts are unknown.

32. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guihong and Others Arrested

Ms. Liu Guihong, Ms. Huanhuan, Ms. Cheng Lijuan, Ms. Xian, and Ms. Hongli went to the Nong'an County Detention Center on the afternoon of June 3, 2013 to ask for the release of some practitioners. They were arrested by over twenty officers.

33. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Zihua and Ms. Zhou Zeying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Zihua and Ms. Zhou Zeying from Macheng City were arrested on the afternoon of June 5, 2013 when they were informing people about the persecution of Falun Dafa at Chengmagang Village.

34. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Jinbo Arrested

Mr. Wang Jinbo, who worked at a secondary school in Songyuan City, was arrested on June 5, 2013 by officers from the Songyuan Police Department.
