(Minghui.org) The local Procuratorate issued a warrant to arrest Ms. Wu Liya from Huangmei County, Hubei Province three months after she was arrested. The reason given for the arrest was that she was telling people the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.

On the afternoon of April 1, 2013, an informant notified the Longgan Lake Police Station that Ms. Wu was talking with people about Falun Gong on Longgan Lake Street. She had just left work. She was arrested and taken to Huangmei County Prison.

At around 2 p.m. on April 3, 2013, five police cars, containing 13 officers, surrounded Ms. Wu's home. They broke open the door, took two computers (one belonging to her nephew who needed it for his studies), a printer, a CD burner, truth clarification materials, Dafa books and several thousand yuan. They also took away household items, including a flashlight and food basket. Reportedly, Ms. Wu, her mother and another practitioner were arrested by the Longgan Lake Police and the County Domestic Security Division. Her mother and the other practitioner were released after her home was ransacked.

After about a month she was transferred from the county prison to the Hubei Provincial Brainwashing Center, where she was persecuted for two months. Her mother went to the Longgan Lake Police Station many times over the last three months. Director Guan Yahua said that Ms. Wu couldn't be released and gave the excuse that he was no longer in charge of Ms. Wu's case.

On July 10, 2013, Ms. Wu's family received notification of her arrest and that a court hearing would be held in one month from the Longgan Lake Police Station. She is presently being held at Huanggang City No. 1 Detention Center.

She was arrested by police officers from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) many years ago. In 2001 she was arrested and had 6,500 yuan extorted while detained at the Huangmei County No. 1 Detention Center. On the second day of the Chinese New Year in 2009, she was arrested while handing out Dafa informational material in the countryside. She was detained and persecuted at Huangmei County Prison.
