(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lou Weili was arrested on July 8, 2013 by police from Dongcheng Police Station in Yongkang. Originally from Jinyun County, she is believed to be held at Huacheng Detention Center in Yongkang.

Eight days after her arrest, Ms. Lou’s family had not heard any word from the police. They were concerned about her whereabouts and her current situation. Family members, especially her 14-year-old daughter, are very worried for her safety.

This was not Ms. Lou’s first arrest. During the end of 2001, after she posted a banner to protest the persecution of Falun Gong, she was arrested by the police from the 610 Office. She was sentenced to a four-year jail term during the end of 2002, and sent to the Zhejiang Women’s Prison.

Ms. Lou’s husband had practiced Falun Gong, but he gave it up for fear of the persecution. Previously, he had suffered from a severe genetic disorder in his lungs, and doctors could not help him. After he began practicing Falun Gong, all of the disease symptoms disappeared. In 1998, their daughter was born. After Ms. Lou was put in the jail, her husband and daughter endured very difficult times. Under hardship and stress, his health declined and his disease returned.

After Ms. Lou returned home and saw her husband in such poor health, she encouraged him to resume practicing Falun Gong. However, he was too scared to do so, though he recognized the goodness of Falun Gong and that the persecution was wrong. His health continued to decline, and during his last days he regretted not listening to his wife, but it was too late.

His death devastated the family of three. Ms. Lou had to conduct some small business to support her daughter, as she was determined to provide a normal environment for her daughter.

Now her daughter is alone at home and people wonder how long this tragedy will last.
