Additional Persecution News from China – June 28, 2013 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in eight cities or counties in six provinces. In this report, two Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yan Shufen, Ms. Zhang Xiuying and Ms. Jia Xiujuan Held in Custody

Ms. Yan Shufen, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, Ms. Jia Xiujuan and Ms. Zhao Shufang from Wanjia Village, Shuangcheng Town were arrested on June 23, 2013. Ms. Zhao Shufang was released.

2. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Ma Huiwen Held in Detention Center

Ms. Ma Huiwen was arrested on May 28, 2013 for talking about Falun Gong in Neixiang County. She is being held in the Shangzhuang Detention Center in Nanyang City.

3. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wu Hongchuan Taken to Langfang Brainwashing Center on June 10, 2013

4. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jin Wenya Arrested

Ms. Jin Wenya was arrested by officers from the Beixinliu Police Station on June 25, 2013 for informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Beixinliu Township, Yongqing County. She was taken to the Beixinliu Police Station. Her home was ransacked and her computer, printer, Falun Gong books and other items were confiscated.

5. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Xia Mingying and Ms. Xia Xiaobi Arrested in Late May 2013

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Bidong, Mr. Li Runxian and Ms. Li Chaoqiong Arrested

Ms. Li Bidong, Mr. Li Runxian and Ms. Li Chaoqiong from Chenghua District were arrested when they went out to raise awareness about Falun Gong on the morning of June 8, 2013. Their homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books, DVDs, informational materials, paper currency with facts about Falun Gong written on them, over 1,000 yuan cash and other items were confiscated.

7. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Yanfeng Arrested

Ms. Guan Yanfeng from Hulin was arrested by officers from the Railway Police Station in Hulin on the morning of June 26, 2013 for telling people about the persecution Falun Gong. She was taken to the Railway Police Station. Her home was ransacked.

8. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xueying Held in Detention Center

Ms. Li Xueying, arrested on June 10, 2013, is being held in the Qinhuangdao No. 1 Detention Center.

9. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Peng Baoying Arrested

Ms. Peng Baoying from Macheng was arrested at home and was taken to the Macheng Administrative Custody on June 27, 2013. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated.
