(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least nine practitioners were illegally arrested.

11. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Six Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Tao, Ms. Liu Yanjun and Ms. Liu Yanchun Sentenced in Secret
On June 18, 2013, the Erdao District Court sentenced Ms. Liu Yanjun to two years in prison, Ms. Liu Yanchun to two years and Mr. Jiang Tao to three years.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Qu Guangyi and His Wife Sentenced
The Economy Development Zone Court of Changchun City sentenced Mr. Qu Guangyi to four and a half years in prison and his wife Ms. Guang Guibo to three years on the morning of June 18, 2013.
3. [Fengning County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Qingzhen Detained
Ms. Yu Qingzhen, about 67, from Gatuying Village, Nanguan Township went out to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong. She was arrested for that by Zhang Peng and others from the Domestic Security Division. She was taken to the Chengde Brainwashing Center.
4. [Zouping County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Hongjuan Detained
Ms. Zhang Hongjuan was arrested by two plainclothes officers for posting up facts about Falun Gong on the afternoon of June 17, 2013. They snatched her purse. Ms. Zhang is being held in Binzhou City.
5. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Fengqing Arrested
Ms. Zhang Fengqing was arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in November, 2012. She was later sentenced to three and half years. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Xinxiang City Women's Prison.
6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jian and Ms. Xiaoxia Arrested
Mr. Wang Jian and Ms. Xiaoxia from Wumahe District, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province were arrested in Qinhuangdao City.
7. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhou Peiling Tortured in Mental Hospital
Ms. Zhou Peiling, about 32, is being held in 2 nd ward of the Lishui City No.2 Mental Hospital. She was beaten by mental patients and was shocked with electrical batons.
8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Ajuan and Ms. Xu Guifeng Arrested
Ms. Qu Ajuan and Ms. Xu Guifeng were arrested for distributing Shen Yun performing arts DVDs on the morning of June 20, 2013. Their homes were ransacked and Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong Mr. Li Hongzhi, cell phones and other items were confiscated. Ms. Qu and Ms. Xu were taken to the Jinzhou City Police Department.

9. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Min and Ms. Gao Dinglian Detained
Ms. Li Min and Ms. Gao Dinglian were arrested by plainclothes officers for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on the afternoon of April 16, 2013. Their informational materials were confiscated. Ms. Li and Ms. Gao are being held in the Heihe City Detention Center.

10. [Shiyan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zeng Hairong and Ms. Zhao Yali Arrested
Officers from Yun County arrested Ms. Zeng Hairong at her home on the morning of June 19, 2013. Her home was ransacked and her computer, printer, DVD burner, DVDs, paper and other items were confiscated. Ms. Zhao Yali, who happened to be at Ms. Zeng's home, was also arrested. They are being held in the Yun County Police Department.
11. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Six Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Liu Ping, Mr. Kong Zhiqing, Mr. Jiang Renhua, Ms. Chen Ruzhen, Ms. Xu Meiying and Mr. Huang Boqiang were tried on the afternoon of April 8, 2013.
The Chongchun Court of Nantong City tried the six practitioners again and sentenced them on the afternoon of June 6. Mr. Liu Ping was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison. Mr. Kong Zhiqing seven years and three months. Mr. Jiang Renhua four years. Ms. Chen Ruzhen three years. Ms. Xu Meizhen two years. Mr. Huang Boqing six months.
Mr. Huang Boqian was released. The other five practitioners are being held in the Nantong Detention Center.
