(Minghui.org) Seventeen Falun Gong practitioners from Benxi, Liaoning Province were arrested on April 25, 2013, including Wang Xiuyan, Sun Yuxia and Wang Qing. They are currently being held in the Benxi Detention Center.
The practitioners were interrogated and tortured by Mingshan Police Department and Domestic Security Team members numerous times, in an attempt to force false confessions.
Details Revealed for Particular Arrests
Jinshan Police Station director Yao Haibing, deputy director Ding Xuzhong, and officers Zhang Deku and Zhang Qiang arrested practitioner Gao Chong, who is currently being held in the Jinshan Hospital.
Xinming Police Station director Xu Lei and officers Hao He, Li Ran and Jia Chunyong from Beitai Police Station arrested practitioner Sun Yuxia, who is currently being held in the Benxi Detention Center.
Mingshan Police Station director Yang Yanfeng and officers Zheng Jiang and Tian Xianfa arrested practitioners Wang Xiuyan, Wang Qing, Gao Gang, Yu Lixin and Zhang Meizhen. All are currently being held at the Benxi Detention Center; Yu Lixin was brutally tortured and is now in a coma.
Dongming Police Station and Wolong Police Station officers arrested practitioner Li Yi, who is currently being held in the Benxi Detention Center. He was interrogated several times and now being subjected to additional persecution.
Niuxintai Police Station officers broke into practitioner Wang Xiulian's home then arrested her. She is currently being held in the Benxi Detention Center. Beidi Police Station officers arrested practitioner Li Chunzheng, also being held at the Benxi Detention Center.
According to information available, the main perpetrator of these persecution activities is Yang Jianjun, deputy mayor of Benxi, also director of the Benxi Police Department. The chain of command: Yang Jianjun gave orders to the Benxi Domestic Security Second Battalion, who passed on orders to Lu Gang, Mingshan Police subdivision director, who then gave orders to various police stations to simultaneously arrest at least one practitioner per station.
