(Minghui.org) The Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren International Exhibition was held at the Window Art Gallery in the city of Kingston, Ontario from May 1 to 26, 2013. On opening day, many of the local residents, including the art director of the gallery, a city councilor, and several artists, attended the exhibition.

One woman stayed at the exhibition the whole day. She carefully reviewed each painting and occasionally discussed the content of the painting with the guide. Before she left, she said, “I am very aware that Falun Dafa is a cultivation system that helps one to improve oneself. The world wouldn’t need police should everyone follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.” She came back a few days later to admire the paintings again. She returned to send her blessings on the last day of the exhibition.

Four artists from another city drove over an hour to get to Kingston in order to see the paintings. One of them said, “I am grateful to have seen the show. It opens my heart.”

One visitor left the following message in the guestbook, “Fantastic work, great skill, and phenomenal curating. I could spend all day here.”

The largest local television station did a report on the exhibition. The host interviewed a Falun Gong practitioner and one of the artists represented in the exhibition, Kathy Gillis. The host first asked, “Why do I feel so sad standing here?” then asked many questions about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and about the works of the artists.

The art director of the gallery held an art class on May 13 and invited a Falun Gong practitioner to introduce the paintings and the artists to the class. A woman who grew up in East Germany told a practitioner that what the Chinese regime did to the practitioners in China is worse than what Hitler did to the Jews.

Many artists visited the exhibition. One woman loved the painting “Silent Night” and said, “It’s so beautiful. The light that shines on her and her hair looks so gentle and soft.” Another artist commented on the painting “Tear of an Orphan,” and said, “Let her come to Canada and I will take care of her.”

A visitor commented after he saw the painting “Live Organ Removal,” “The evildoers are disgusting no matter who they are.” Another left in the guestbook, “Breathtaking! I never knew this issue existed before I saw these paintings.”

A man who works in a university saw the paintings and discussed with the practitioners the brutality of the Chinese Communist regime. He took some Falun Dafa materials and said, “I am searching for a way to internal peace. I wish to learn more about Falun Gong.”

Some people learned the Falun Dafa exercises after they saw the paintings. Many asked about the local practice sites and one went to a group exercise session that weekend.

Many people recommended their families see the exhibition. One of them came to the exhibition many times and said that she saw something new each time.
