(Minghui.org) I don't have any spectacular story to write about, but just a few humble experiences that I wish to share about Dafa's greatness and Master's compassion.
Teachers and Students See Goodness of Dafa
I worked at a large school, which had both elementary and middle school students. Before the persecution began, because I always worked hard and acted in accordance with the requirements of Dafa, the school principal was always nice to me; he even told others about my work.
After the persecution started, however, he changed. He believed that I caused him a lot trouble because of practicing Falun Dafa. He had to attend meetings where attendees were filled with communist propaganda, and he was pressured by his superiors and then exerted pressure on me.
I was previously a middle school teacher, but now the principal only allowed me to teach elementary school courses. Later, he assigned me to teach both elementary and middle school classes, which meant I had too many courses to prepare for and teach. However, I did not complain. No matter what position he put me in, I always worked well to fulfill my duties.
In spite of how well I did, the principal sent someone to spy on me, just because of my faith. He wanted to know whom I contacted the most. He wanted to restrict my connection with others and lower my reputation among colleagues and students. I didn't care about what he did to me, though. I just concentrated on doing my job well.
At the end of the school year, students evaluate their teachers. While other teachers were evaluated in either elementary or middle school performance, I had to be evaluated in both.
After the evaluation, the principal came to my office and asked me: "Why have your students given you such a high evaluation? All middle school students gave you a high evaluation score, and elementary school students did, too. Furthermore, your colleagues have talked highly about your job performance and gave you very good appraisals. Why?”
I said jokingly, “I received good evaluations because I practice Falun Dafa!” He smiled and nodded in awe.
The persecution of Falun Dafa has lasted for 14 years. I was locked up in a county detention center a few times, and police often harassed me at school. The principal was also involved in persecuting me. Despite all this, my reputation was not ruined. Why? The principal could not find an answer.
In fact, the answer is very simple: It's because I practice Falun Dafa. If a person understands the true meaning of life and lives by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, he will always be a really good person in society. He will always be kind and beneficial to others and society at large.
“The World Will Get Better If All People Practice Falun Dafa”
One day in March 2012, I went to a marketplace to hand out Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs to people. A woman was selling groceries there. A few years ago, when I shopped at her store, I had given her some Dafa truth clarification brochures; she was very happy to receive them. After I moved from the area, however, I did not see her for a few years.
One of the reasons I specifically went to the market this time was to see her again. It was predestined that she was there that day. I gave her one of the DVDs, and she gladly accepted. I asked her, "Have you withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party yet?" She said that she had. I then advised her to sincerely recite, "Falun Dafa is good!" She said, "Our whole family believes in Dafa," adding that her family had already benefited from and witnessed the greatness of Dafa. I am very happy for their whole family.
In order to allow more people to understand the truth, I often pay for things with money that has truth-clarification messages printed on it. Once, I went to a mobile booth and paid with such money. I told the booth owner about the information printed on the bills. I explained that when these bills are spread to the public from him, more people will learn the truth and he will accumulate blessings. He said, “Good!” and carefully read the messages printed on each bill.
A few months later, I saw the booth owner again. He told me that truth-clarification money had brought him good luck and good business. He said that he didn't want to use it all up, as he wanted to keep some for himself. He asked if I had any more bills with Dafa-related messages on them; he wanted to trade his ordinary bills for truth-clarification money. I asked him why. He said, “I'm going to collect the bills with truth-clarification messages them.” Unfortunately, I didn't have any on me at the time, but I promised to bring him some more next time.
There is a woman who sells seasoning in my area. I previously clarified the truth about Dafa to her, and she very much supports Dafa. I frequently buy her seasoning. She always gives me a little more seasoning than what I've paid for. I told her that it's not good for her business. She said: “Falun Dafa practitioners are good people, not like others. You never preoccupy me, never bargain with me, never take advantage of me, and you are so pleasant to me.”
She added: “There is another practitioner who also buys seasoning from me, and she is nice like you. All you practitioners are good people. The world will get better if all people practice Falun Dafa.”
Police Know That Practitioners Are Good People
When the persecution first started, many practitioners, group by group, were illegally locked up in detention centers.
Practitioners just do their best to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They are strict with themselves but kind and tolerant to others. The more those police officers had contact with practitioners, the more they understood the truth. Many of them have come to realize that Dafa practitioners are good people.
In 2002, I was unlawfully held in a detention center. One night, some practitioners sat together to send forth righteous thoughts. Some policemen then came over. One of them shouted, “They are exercising!” A disciplinary officer hurried over. He saw that we were sending forth righteous thoughts. In order to protect us, he said, “I told them to repent for their mistakes.” The malicious policemen then walked away.
There are so many similar things that have occurred. Even in the most severe period of persecution, even in the evil's den, through truth clarification, some police have seen the goodness of Dafa and have chosen to treat Dafa practitioners well.
