(Minghui.org) Falun Gong information sites in Hong Kong have been attacked by Hong Kong Youth Care Association (HKYCA) members since June 2012. The cultural-revolution-style hate attacks are orchestrated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) through its minions in Hong Kong.

Due to Falun Gong practitioners' persistent efforts to spread the truth about the persecution in China, HKYCA had to obey the government's order to take down its thousands of banners and propaganda items around Hong Kong slandering Falun Gong.

Practitioners File a Complaint with the Legislative Council

Under pressure from the general public, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department of Hong Kong (FEHD) warned HKYCA in early April of possible criminal charges and removal fees if it didn't remove its propaganda items.

HKYCA then took down its Falun Gong-slandering banners.

However, the FEHD established a special task team in mid-April targeting Falun Gong information sites. It confiscated Falun Gong banners and displays, including those not on display.

Several politicians suspected Leung Chun Ying's government had orchestrated this operation to eliminate Falun Gong truth-clarification sites.

Practitioners filed a formal complaint with the Legislative Council on May 6, 2013, stating the legal basis of Falun Gong truth-clarification activities and the illegal conduct of the FEHD, and requesting the return of confiscated property and compensation for losses.

The Legislative Council accepted the complaint. Several council members criticized the government for cooperating with the CCP.

Even Tourists Were Harassed

Fearing the exposure of its persecution crimes in China, the CCP had ordered the HKYCA to attack Falun Gong practitioners' truth-clarification sites. They stole Falun Gong displays and banners, and harassed and threatened tourists by videotaping them.

They recently attacked the printing house of the Epoch Times , and harassed customers who advertised in the newspaper and newspaper distribution centers. However, more people have condemned the thugs and are making it a point to read the Epoch Times . More copies of the newspaper have been distributed recently.

The CCP's hooligan acts angered the public. Members of the Legislative Council, human rights organizations, and citizens called for the government to protect Hong Kong's core values, uphold justice, protect citizens' rights, and stop the CCP's extension of its persecution.

More and more Hong Kong residents have stepped forward to rebuke the attackers and stand up for what is right.

A Thorn in the Side of the CCP

Despite of the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong in mainland China since July 1999, practicing Falun Gong has remained legal in Hong Kong, which enjoys the policy of "One Country, Two Systems."

A large number of tourists from mainland China have learned the facts about Falun Gong in Hong Kong, including about the staged self-immolation hoax on Tiananmen Square, organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and the movement to quit the CCP.

The CCP was horrified that its crimes were being made public in Hong Kong.

Exporting Hatred

The CCP hired former tyrants in Chinese prisons and members of gangs in Hong Kong and registered an organization in Hong Kong called the Hong Kong Youth Care Association on June 8, 2012.

According to an investigation by the Hong Kong media and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, the HKYCA has nothing to do with "care." Its goal is to export the CCP's persecution policy to Hong Kong.

HKYCA thugs systematically blanketed the Hong Kong airport, train stations, business districts, and tourist spots with Falun Gong-slandering banners and other propaganda materials. They verbally assaulted and beat up Falun Gong practitioners, threatened them with weapons, fabricated evidence to sue them, and bribed police officers to take no action.

Despite the terrible injustice, Falun Gong practitioners didn't fight back. Their peaceful, compassionate, and steadfast nature won respect and support.

Members of HKYCA put a beggar's bowl and change in front Ms. Tan as she was meditating. She was sued by HKYCA for "destroying their property" when she pushed the bowl away. Kowloon City Law Courts pronounced her innocent.

A UN human rights report in March 2013 noted the setback of freedom of speech in Hong Kong, and urged the Hong Kong government to protect the freedoms of religion and speech according to the human rights convention.

Hong Kong Citizens Support Falun Gong

The attack on a Falun Gong truth-clarification site on June 2 angered Hong Hong citizens. They condemned HKYCA head Ling Guo'an (in navy blue shirt holding a banner).

Hong Kong citizens pulled away a banner that the HKYCA used to obscure a Falun Gong information site. HKYCA members left in the middle of the confrontation, after three hours.

More and more people in Hong Kong have realized that protecting Falun Gong is protecting freedom in Hong Kong.

They established organizations such as "Hong Kong Citizens on Falun Gong Issues" and "Coalition of Hong Kong Citizens to Protect Falun Gong;" they held rallies and parades to protest the CCP breaking the law and restricting freedom; and they condemned the HKYCA's behavior and collected signatures to submit to the Hong Kong government. They posted notes stating, “Not from the Hong Kong people!” on HKYCA banners. Some people removed the HKYCA displays and slashed its banners. Members of the Legislative Council also openly condemned the attacks.

Former Member of Legislative Council Rev. Fung Chi Wood praised Falun Gong practitioners at a rally commemorating the 14 th anniversary of the April 25 th Appeal: “Your kind hearts, your strength, and your steadfastness on truth have taught people all over the world that evil will be punished and the truth will be revealed. To promote the truth, to break through darkness, to bring happiness to the people in the divine land, let's continue to work hard!”
