(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Taitung, Taiwan did group exercises at Public Square, a famous tourist site, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and the birthday of their revered teacher, Mr. Li Hongzhi. This important day was celebrated with profuse gratitude. People from various parts of Taitung also expressed their congratulations. The practitioners introduced Falun Gong to tourists and showed them the beauty of the exercises. Many practitioners stated that becoming a practitioner of Dafa was the most wonderful thing that has happened in their lives.

Tourist asking how to begin practicing Falun Gong
The mayor of Taitung City went to congratulate practitioners on World Falun Dafa Day. The practice was introduced to the public 21 years ago. He said that he hoped Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China would one day be able to practice openly without being persecuted. Ms. Yang Jen-Chi, General Secretary of Soroptimist International Club in Taiwan, criticized the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for its 14-year brutal and inhumane persecution. She emphasized that the persecution should be stopped immediately. She expressed sincere appreciation and blessed Falun Gong practitioners for delivering peace and happiness to the world, in spite of the persecution.
Many renowned people also attended the celebration. Ms. Chen Rei-Mei, Chairwoman of Taitung Branch of International Lion Clubs, said that the compassion and virtues of practitioners and their extraordinary perseverance would defeat the evil. Ms. Chang Cheng-Shuan, Director of the Kuomington's Taitung Women's Association, commented that the driving force for people around the world to uphold justice was the righteousness of Falun Gong. She hoped that the noble spirit of Falun Gong would be more widely spread. Mr. Hsieh Guang-Chi, Manager of Hualien No. 2 Credit Union, urged the CCP to immediately stop the persecution against Falun Gong. He also congratulated Falun Gong for successfully spreading the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” to the world, assuring that brightness and hope will be brought to everyone.
Mr. Lin owns a teahouse in Chihpen, Taitung. Everyone in his family of ten has practiced cultivation, including his daughter and her husband. Mrs. Lin said that the whole family studies the “Fa” together when they are together. They feel happy because Master has taken care of them, and expressed their most heartfelt gratitude.
Mr. Chang Yi-Long, is a retired teacher. He and his wife have experienced the goodness of cultivation. They said they will be more diligent on their path of cultivation.
Ms. Lin, who is in charge of a construction company, shared her cultivation experiences. She said that, prior to cultivation, she was very unhealthy and suffered from many hardships. Master gave her a new life, both mentally and physically, when she started practicing Falun Gong. On this day of celebration, she expressed not only her appreciation for Master’s merciful salvation, but also her will to fulfill the responsibilities of a Dafa practitioner. She wants to tell more people about the goodness of Falun Gong and the truth of the persecution by the CCP.
The graceful exercise movements of the Falun Gong practitioners caught the attention of many tourists who stopped to watch. Mr. Chen, an employee at Uni Airline, asked the practitioners how to begin practicing Falun Gong. Some tourists who passed the exercise venue excitedly shouted, “Falun Dafa is good” to show their support.
