Additional Persecution News from China – April 15, 2013 (16 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 27 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen and Ms. Zhou Shurong Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen is from Yilong County, and Ms. Zhou Shurong is from the Shunqing District in Nanchong City. Banzeng Town Police Station officers arrested them on the morning of April 1, 2013, and took them to the Nanchong Detention Center that afternoon.

2. [Longhua County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yin Guizhi Arrested

Domestic Security Division agents arrested Ms. Yin Guizhi when she distributed truth-clarification DVDs on April 12. Officials ransacked her home, confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, and extorted 10,000 yuan from her family. Ms. Yin returned home in the afternoon.

3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yong Fang Sentenced to 9 Years

Ms. Yong Fang was arrested on October 25, 2012. Tiedong Court officials tried her in Anshan No.1 Women’s Detention Center on February 28, 2013. During the trial, Ms. Yong looked very weak and needed assistance even drinking water. She was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiumei Arrested

Xiahuayuan Town Police Station agents arrested Ms. Zhang Xiumei when she talked to people about Falun Gong and the persecution on the morning of April 14.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Yuying Detained

Ms. Liu Yuying was arrested and detained in the Beizangcun Police Station in the Daxing District.

6. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Yuan Chunhua, Junshan District Judicial Bureau head, and Junshan Domestic Security Division agents arrested three practitioners from the Junshan District on November 2, 2012: Ms. Cai Ailian, in her 60s; Ms. Ren Xiyun, in her 50s; and Ms. Zhu Chunxiu, 62, who was Ms. Ren’s guest.

The agents went to Ms. Deng Faxiu’s home in the afternoon, arrested her, and ransacked her home. They also arrested several practitioners who were studying the Fa at Ms. Deng’s home, including Mr. Xiao, Mr. Liu, in his 70s, and Ms. Zeng Xihui, in her 60s. Officials held them for more than an hour at the Luowang Police Station and then took them to the brainwashing center in the Junshan Senior Center.

The agents also went to Ms. Zhao Chunlan’s parent's place and demanded to know Ms. Zhao’s whereabouts.

7. [Jiange County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Lin Sentenced Again with a Term of Four Years

8. [Daxing’anling Area, Inner Mongolia] Police Harass Mr. Liu Qizhi, Over 70 Years Old, Numerous Times

Police detained Mr. Liu Qizhi, over 70 from the Songlin District, on July 10, 2012. Mr. Liu returned home one week later, but the police often went to his home to harass him.

9. [Weichang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Zirong and Ms. Huang Qingchun Arrested

When Ms. Yu Zirong and Ms. Huang Qingchu distributed Falun Gong materials on the evening of April 13, officials arrested them and took them to the Shizhuozi Town Police Station. They were taken to the Weichang County Domestic Security Division on April 14.

On December 21, 2012 Gong Chuanxing, Aohan Qi Domestic Security Division chief, and other agents arrested six practitioners who had installed satellite receivers for village residents. They were: Ms. Bao Wenju, Mr. Bao Wenrong, Mr. Wang Xiufeng, Mr. Wang Zhigang, Mr. Ma Xiaoguang, and Mr. Jia Bin. The agents later arrested Mr. Lan Guangfei. The other practitioners returned home on February 8, 2013, but Mr. Jia Bin is still being detained.

10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Jia Bin Detained

Li Hongzhu, Balinzuo Qi Domestic Security Division officer, and other agents transferred Mr. Jia Bin from Aohan Qi Detention Center to the Balinzuo Qi Detention Center on February 19, 2013.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Yuxia Arrested

Police arrested Ms. Liu Yuxia at her home on the afternoon of April 14, 2013, and ransacked it.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Xu Guoqing was arrested on the evening of April 11 and taken to the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in the Jiang’an District. Several other practitioners were also arrested and detained in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center, including Ms. Cai Baozhen, Ms. Xiong Guiju, and Ms. Xiong’s husband.

More than 40 officers from Danshuichi Police Station in the Jiangan District and Jiangan Police Department were involved.

13. [Ordos City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wang Shouda Severely Tortured in Hohhot Prison

Ordos City 610 Office and Domestic Security Division agents arrested several practitioners at home on the evening of June 19, 2011, including Mr. Wang Shouda, Mr. Guo Bingqiang, and Ms. Bai Tuoya. The practitioners' whereabouts were unknown until December 2012.

It was later learned that Mr. Wang Shouda was sentenced to 11 years of prison. Because of long time persecution in the prison, he has suffered severely both physically and mentally.

14. [Shangyu City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xu Huini Arrested and Her Whereabouts Unknown

Police arrested elderly practitioner Ms. Xu Huini at home on April 13. Her whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Xianghe County, Hebei Province] Ms. Jin Lanzhen and Ms. Liu Yanling Arrested

Ms. Jin Lanzhen is a practitioner in Gaozhuang Village in Anping Town. Police arrested her and her husband (not a practitioner) on the afternoon of April 12 and ransacked her home. Her husband has been released, but Ms. Jin is still detained.

Another practitioner, Ms. Liu Yanling, was also arrested for distributing truth-clarification materials.

16. [Guang’han City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Mingying Released on Medical Parole

Police arrested Ms. Zhao Mingying and Ms. Liu Qianfeng on December 14, 2012, for telling people about Falun Gong and held them in the Guanghan Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao fainted and fell down as she was washing clothes in early 2013. She was diagnosed in a hospital with uterine cancer. She was released on medical parole on the afternoon of April 11.
