Additional Persecution News from China – March 27, 2013 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 5 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhang Yulong Abused in Mental Hospital for 10 Years

Mr. Zhang Yulong worked at the No. 14 Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. He was imprisoned in a forced labor camp and subsequently transferred to a mental hospital (Nanjing Brain Hospital) in 2001.

In the hospital Mr. Zhang was forced to take various mind-altering drugs over a 10-year period. He nearly suffered a mental collapse as a result. Upon his relase, he decided to leave home to avoid further persecution. However, in late 2012, he was found and brought back home.

2. [Taigu County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Han Laiqing Detained Again after 9 Year Imprisonment

Taigu County practitioner Mr. Han Laiqing was imprisoned for 9 years. Agents from the Xinghualing Police Station in Taiyuan City arrested him again on November 18, 2012. He has been detained for more than four months at the Beige No. 2 Detention Center in Xiaodian District of Taiyuan City.

3. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Jinba Detained

When Pengzhou City practitioner Mr. Zhou Jinba clarified the facts about Falun Gong to people on the morning of March 26, 2013, Liu Ren reported him to the police. Three police agents shoved Mr. Zhou to the ground, stomped on him and handcuffed him. They also searched him, tearing apart his clothing. He is currently detained at the Zhihe Police Station.

4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Lizhen and Ms. Zheng Sizhi Arrested

Dehui Domestic Security Division agents arrested Ms. Sun Lizhen and Ms. Zheng Sizhi on the afternoon of March 24, 2013.

5. [Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Ji Fenghu Sentenced to Prison

Yanhu District Court sentenced Ms. Ji Fenghu to six years of imprisonment.

6. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Jia Guanglin Secretly Sentenced

Mr. Jia Guanglin is a practitioner from Jianchangying Village in Yuanbaoshan District. Yuanbaoshan Court sentenced him to three and a half years of imprisonment on March 10, 2013, without notifying his family. By the time his family received the verdict, the appeal date had already passed.

7. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Yuan Huiwu's Home Ransacked

Mr. Yuan Huiwu is a practitioner from Yuanqiao Village of Jianling Township in Liquan County. Agents headed by Wang Liming, the Jianling Township Police Station chief, came to his home on the morning of March 26, 2013, and ransacked it. They confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials, cash, a laptop, and a TV.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Guoxiang Imprisoned

Mr. Wang Guoxiang was transferred from the Liaoyuan Detention Center to the Gongzhuling Prison on March 22, 2013.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xie Jinde Imprisoned

Mr. Xie Jinde was transferred from the Hulan Prison to the Daqing Prison on March 25, 2013.

10. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Aiping and Ms. Yang Ailing Detained

Agents from Wuyilu Police Station and Domestic Security Division of Qiaodong Police Department came to Ms. Yang Aiping's and Ms. Yang Ailing's home on the morning of March 8, 2013. They confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Gong books and materials, and 8,000 yuan in cash. They arrested Ms. Yang Aiping and Ms. Yang Ailing and took them to the Shisanli Detention Center.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Guo Ning and Other Practitioners Detained

Agents from the Dadongmen Police Station arrested Mr. Guo Ning and other practitioners on the morning of March 22, 2013. The practitioners were subsequently transferred from the Dadong Detention Center to the Shenyang Detention Center. Mr. Guo went on hunger strike to protest the persecution.

12. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Li Jianping Detained

Mr. Li Jianping (approximately 50 years old) is a practitioner from Qinhuai District in Nanjing City. When he read a Falun Gong book during a business trip from Nanjing to Guangzhou, police arrested him and held him at the Qinhuai Detention Center.

Mr. Li has been arrested numerous times in the past.

13. [Tianjin] Ms. Zheng Yujuan Arrested

Ms. Zheng Yujuan was arrested on the evening of March 12, 2013.
