(Minghui.org) Fifty-seven-year-old Ms. Xing Xiuzhen from Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, was illegally arrested at home on the evening of April 12, 2012. Her home was ransacked. The police fabricated evidence to frame her and have her sentenced to eight years in prison.

Illegal Arrest and Home Ransacking

Ms. Xing Xiuzhen lives in Longfu Garden in the Yunyan District of Guiyang City. Local police officers broke into her home at around 8:00 p.m. on April 12. They arrested her and confiscated her computer, printer, CD-burner, truth-clarification CDs, books, and other personal belongings. She was then taken to the Baihuashan Detention Center.

Sham Trial and Unjust Sentencing

Ms. Xing was in Yunyan District Court on September 27, 2012, where she was charged with making DVDs of Shen Yun Performing Arts, “We Tell the Future,” and Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Court Officials Violate the Constitution and the Law

The Constitution of the People's Republic of China states: “Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of religious belief,” and “Citizens have freedom of speech, publication, assembly, association, procession, and of demonstration.”

Falun Gong practitioners make and distribute informational materials to the general public to clarify the truth, so that people won't be misled by the state-run media's slander and propaganda. Practitioners' activities comply with the provisions of the Constitution and thus do not constitute a crime. It is the Yunyan District Court and Guiyang City Intermediate Court officials that do not follow the constitution and abide by the law.

The court officials should correct their judgement and release Ms. Xing Xiuzhen.

Ms. Xing said that she will continue appealing until the persecution ends.
