(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Jinxian, a Falun Gong practitioner in Yiliang County, Yunnan Province, was abducted by local police on April 9, 2012. Her family received notice on January 30, 2013 that Ms. Wang had been sentenced to three years of imprisonment and would be taken to prison the next day. Ms. Wang had been imprisoned for four years in 2007. The following is Ms. Wang's daughter's account of some of the persecution her mom has endured.

“My mother, Wang Jinxian was abducted by Yiliang County police on April 9, 2012 and held in the Yiliang County Detention Center. We weren't allowed to visit her. My father received a phone call on January 30 this year, telling him that mother had been sentenced to three years in prison. She was sent to a prison on February 1. We never received any written judgment, nor do we know when the trial was held.

“When I went to the Kunming City Intermediate Court I learned that Yang Jie was the judge, so I contacted him. He told us that if we wanted a written judgment, we would have to ask for it from the defendant. He said the law did not require the court to notify defendants' families as to the trial time or appeal information.

“I tried to visit my mother in the Second Prison of Yunnan Province. The prison wouldn't allow visitation within the first three months, thus I could not see her or ask her about the trial process.

“Mother started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution in 1999, she was arrested and forced into a brainwashing session in Kunming.

“In 2007, someone reported to the police that my mother told people facts of Falun Gong. The police broke into our home, confiscated all informational materials about Falun Gong, our printer, and more than one thousand yuan in cash. Mother was taken to Yiliang Detention Center and was later secretly sent to the Second Prison of Yunnan Province for four years. We were never notified and we were not allowed to visit her.

“Mother was released on April 22, 2011. Gu Shaojun from Yiliang County 610 Office came to tell my father before April that mother had psychological problems during her prison term. Gu told my father to write a promise that after he brought my mother home he would stop her from clarifying the facts of Falun Gong. We refused. It turned out mother didn't have any psychological problem. A Yiliang Police Department police officer named Zhang refused to process mother's residence registration paperwork under the excuse that she had to write a guarantee statement not to practice Falun Gong any more. They stopped paying her subsistence after she was abducted again in April 2012.

“All mother's belongings and money had been confiscated at Yiliang County Detention Center. She didn't even have money to pay for a blanket. For quite a few months, she lived without a blanket or toilet paper, and she couldn't even change her clothes. Jailers had the inmates abuse mother. All her appeals were intercepted by the detention center.

“During her prison term, jailers assigned two inmates to monitor mother 24 hours a day, forced her to write out the prison regulations, watch Falun Gong slandering videos, sit on a small stool for extended periods of time, and do slave labor.

“After mother was released from the Second Prison of Yunnan Province, Gu Shaojun of the 610 Office and leaders of her former company came to harass her several times. They also sent someone to forcefully evaluate mother's 'mental status'.”

“Local police assigned two persons to monitor our home. They stopped mother from going out. To threaten us, they made harassing calls in the middle of night, with no words, only loud, evil laughter.”
