The Tian Family's New Year's Sadness: Two Brothers Imprisoned for Their Faith

(Minghui.org) The New Year's joyful atmosphere is missing for the Tian family in Niuzhuang Town, Haicheng City, Anshan, Liaoning Province. This is a large family with more than a dozen members. They used to be full of vigor in previous years, however, this year with two sons in prison for practicing Falun Dafa, the mother has been anxious and worried, and has suffered from sudden hemiplegia. The family is not in the New Year's spirit.

The Tian family has three generations, including parents, brothers, daughter-in-laws and grandsons-- a total of more than a dozen people living in the same court. Three of the four brothers, Mr. Tian Baocheng, the eldest, Mr. Tian Baodong, the third, and Mr. Tian Baowei, the fourth, practice Falun Dafa. The family is very popular in the neighborhood because of the harmonious couples, filial sons and daughter-in-laws, and well-behaved grandsons. In the past, one could usually hear laughter upon entering their court.

The family has suffered a lot since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute practitioners. Mr. Tian Baocheng, Mr. Tian Baodong, and Mr. Tian Baowei were repeatedly arrested and imprisoned in forced labor camps.

Mr. Tian Baocheng Was Imprisoned at a Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Tian Baocheng was detained for 15 days in 2006. He was arrested again on February 24, 2009, and then imprisoned for 18 months at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City.

Mr. Tai Baodong Was Arrested Again

Mr. Tian Baodong was detained three times and subjected to forced labor twice.

He was arrested in Bayuquan on April 17, 2002, and then imprisoned at the Anshan Forced Labor Camp, where he was subjected to beatings and sleep deprivation for a long time, etc. As a result, he had difficulty walking and almost lost his eyesight. It took him more than a year to recover after he was released in 2003.

He was falsely charged by officers from the Ganwang Police Station in the summer of 2006. He was again imprisoned at the Anshan Forced Labor Camp. As a result of mistreatment, he could not walk and had to use crutches when he was released in August 2008.

On September 16, 2012, he and practitioner Mr. Cui Chunbiao were reported and arrested by officers from the Haicheng Domestic Security Division while they were talking to others about Falun Dafa in an open market. They are both being detained at the Haicheng Detention Center.

Mr. Tian Baowei Was Illegally Sentenced

Officers from the Haicheng Domestic Security Division, including Li Haihua, and officers from the Niuzhuang Police Station, illegally searched Mr. Tian Baowei's home and detained him for 15 days in the summer of 2006. They took away his notebook computer and never returned it.

In the summer of 2007, police arrested him at home and detained him for six days.

Before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, police put him on a wanted list. He had to flee home and leave his family behind.

On April 2, 2011, he was arrested by officers from the Gengzhuang Town Police Station while he was distributing truth clarification materials. He was incarcerated in the Haicheng Detention Center for over a year. Officers from the domestic security division tortured him in the detention center. They shocked him on his genitals and other sensitive parts of his body with electric batons.

The Haicheng Court sentenced him to five years in prison on August 26, 2011. He was taken to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang around May 17, 2012, and then to Dongling Prison on June 1, 2012.

The mother of the Tian brothers is in her 70s. To appeal for her sons' release, she ran between the Niuzhuang Police Station, Haicheng Detention Center, and the police department. Officers pointed to each other to shift responsibility, and some even threatened her. She misses and worries about her sons, and has developed sudden hemiplegia, and cannot get out of bed.

The New Year has come, but they cannot take joy in the New Year's eve dinner. The Tian family misses their imprisoned loved ones and worries about the elderly being sick.
