(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

2. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xie Yi Mistreated

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yaoguang Mistreated in Harbin Women’s Prison
5. [Shanghai ] Ms. Li Ning and Ms. Li Lanmei Detained
6. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners in the Hongqiao District Arrested
7. [Beijing] Mr. Li Xiaobai on Hunger Strike for More than 10 Months in Beijing Police Hospital
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiu Liying Detained Over a Year and Facing Second Trial
1. [Junan County, Shandong Province] The Couple, Ms. Yang Jifeng and Her Husband, Mr. Wang Liantian, Arrested
Ms. Yang Jifeng and Mr. Wang Liantian are both from Sanchakou Village in Xianggou Town. More than 20 agents from Xianggou Police Station and Junan 610 Office arrested them on the morning of February 22, 2013, in the supermarket they owned. Mr. Wang was released the same day, but his wife, Ms. Yang Jifeng was sent to the Junan Detention Center.
2. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xie Yi Mistreated
After Ms. Xie Yi returned home from Jinan First Women’s Forced Labor Camp in May 2012, her husband filed for a divorce. She contacted school officials many times asking to return to work, but without success.
3. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Hu Guisheng Died as a Result of Torture
Mr. Hu Guisheng was detained in the Hefei Drug Rehabilitation Center for a year in 1999 because of his belief. He went to work in Shenzhen City after being released and was later imprisoned. Because of torture, he had symptoms of illness and was sent home. He died not long afterward.
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yaoguang Mistreated in Harbin Women’s Prison
Ms. Li Yaoguang, 31, from Qiqihar City, is currently in the Harbin Women’s Prison. She is forced to do slave labor every day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If she does not finish her quota, she has to keep working making cotton swabs and sewing.
5. [Shanghai ] Ms. Li Ning and Ms. Li Lanmei Detained
Ms. Li Ning (from Shandong Province, sentenced to three years in prison) and Ms. Li Lanmei the (sentenced to three and a half years in prison) are still in Changning District Detention Center.
6. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners in the Hongqiao District Arrested
When some Hongqiao District practitioners put up truth-clarification banners near the West Tianjin Railway Station in the evening on February 23, agents from Shuanghuancun Police Station arrested them. Among them, Ms. Yao Hongmei, Ms. Li Shuxia, Ms. Xie Ruixue, and Ms. Xie Ruixue’s aunt are still detained. Ms. Xie’s home was ransacked.
7. [Beijing] Mr. Li Xiaobai on Hunger Strike for More than 10 Months in Beijing Police Hospital
Haidian District police arrested Wuhan City practitioner Mr. Li Xiaobai in March 2011. They kept him at the Haidian Detention Center and sentenced him to two years of forced labor. After Mr. Li protested by going on a hunger strike, Haidian Detention Center officials force-fed him. Officials then sent him to Beijing Police Hospital, where he was further persecuted. Mr. Li has been on hunger strike for over 10 months.
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiu Liying Detained Over a Year and Facing Second Trial
Ms. Qiu Liying was arrested on February 25, 2012, and has been detained ever since. Chang’an District Court has scheduled a second trial for her on March 5.
