(Minghui.org) Huang Lijuan from the Tongmei Group in Datong, Shanxi, started to practice Falun Gong in 1996 and benefited in both body and mind. She tried hard to be a good person. On the evening of December 24, 2010, Huang was arrested by personnel from the 610 Office, and taken to a center for forced brainwashing. When she refused to be brainwashed and give up her belief in Falun Gong, she was sentenced to forced labor camps for two years. She was then persecuted in Shanxi Women's Forced Labor Camp by all kinds of torture methods.
Arrested and Forced Brainwashing
At around 8 p.m. on December 24, 2010, Gao Jinfeng, director of the local 610 Office (male, deputy director of Tongmei Group Police Station), Feng Yanqin (female, from Public Security Section in the Communist Party School in Tongmei Group), and several other people broke into the home of Huang's mother, confiscating a set of Falun Dafa books and three cell phones, including her family members' phones, over 800 yuan cash, and a computer. And also arrested Ms. Huang.
Ms. Huang was detained in the Meixiangchun Hotel, where rooms on the third and fourth floor were all booked, and four Falun Gong practitioners were already detained. Each practitioner was detained in a single room, watched over and brainwashed every day by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel with all kinds of methods.
On the third day, Ms. Huang used the phone in her room to notify her family members of her whereabouts. Once the CCP personnel learned about this, they gathered about six people from the municipal 610 Office within an hour and forcibly moved her to another room. Here, she was tied up to a Tiger Bench and not allowed to sleep the whole night, being heavily monitored. At that time, Gao Jinfeng interrogated her and attempted to record the conversation. Ms. Huang refused to speak, and then Niu Quanxi, head of the municipal 610 Office came to interrogate her until the next morning. Ms. Huang was then sent to the Police Station, where they attempted to forcibly photograph and fingerprint her. However, she refused to cooperate. About four people held and pressed her hands down to get her fingerprints, but they were not successful, so they called in Gao Jinfeng, who slapped Ms. Huang twice in her face and then sent her to the detention center.
In the detention center, Ms. Huang would not wear the prisoner clothing, so the guards and designated criminals beat her. Ms. Huang also refused to do slave labor, and criminals were designated to watch over her daily.
The detention center was closed on January 13, 2011. Ms. Huang was transferred to a municipal detention center, where she started a hunger strike, without any food or water. Guards force-fed her three times a day. On January 2, she was sentenced to a forced labor camp for two years without any legal procedures, and sent to Shanxi Forced Labor Camp.
Persecution Suffered in Shanxi Women's Forced Labor Camp
When Ms. Huang first arrived at the forced labor camp, she was detained in a small room, which was cold and humid. Inmates took turns watching her every four hours. Later, even the inmates could not stand the conditions of the room, so she was moved to the electronic classrooms. She had to get up at 5:20 a.m. and did not get to sleep until 12:00 a.m. She was not allowed to meet with anyone, but was brainwashed every day by inmates and collaborators. She was not allowed to take a shower either.
In June, Ms. Huang was forced to do slave labor, and worked every day. Since she worked for long hours, her eyes ached, her heart was painful, and she became dizzy. She then refused to work, but was punished by having to sit in a triangular area where the winds came from all directions and it was extremely cold. She was later forced to clean bathrooms, corridors, and the electronic classroom three times a day.
Since she would not give up her belief, she was transferred to the drug treatment team, where she was not allowed to take a shower or buy everyday goods. Three months later, she was sent to the forced labor team for more brainwashing. Five guards, including Liu Zhongmei, Liu Yanjun, Duan Huijuan, Wang Chunhua and An Junmei, and three inmates persecuted her. She was not allowed to sleep and had to stand for a long time. Ms. Huang's ankle had been injured in a car accident, and she could not stand for such a long period of time, so she sat on the ground. Half a month later, her buttocks had callouses and ached very much. She went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution, but was force-fed and infused every other day. Later, they force-fed her twice a day. Ms. Huang would not cooperate with the infusion and feeding, and the guards then had about five criminals sit on her body and arms. Ms. Huang resisted strongly, then the guards called in more people to press her down, but failed. They then handcuffed her to the bed and forcibly infused and fed her. Ms. Huang saw them put unknown drugs into the corn porridge.
Ms. Huang was dragged out by guards, her skin was scraped, and her feet and legs had no strength. After about two days, her limbs became spasmodic. After about five days, the back of her head was also spasmodic, and her whole body could not move. But she was still dragged on the ground. She could not go to the restroom herself. Until July 24, guards saw no hope of her being brainwashed, and then stopped it. At that time, Ms. Huang had no strength to stand, and used a small bench to go to the restroom every time. She was not allowed to meet with anybody else. On December 27, 2012, she was released from the forced labor camp.
