Even if the forced labor system is eliminated, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will use other means to detain practitioners and limit their personal freedom. Judicial departments in some areas are retrying Falun Gong practitioners who are currently detained in forced labor camps, with the intent of sending them to prisons.
The persecution of practitioners who firmly believe in Falun Dafa remains relentless, due to instigation and orders from the local politics and law committees and the 610 Office.
For example, the Second, Third, and Fourth Divisions of Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp still utilize collaborators to brainwash practitioners. The practitioners are confined to small cells, and are beaten and shocked with electric batons. They are forced to do slave labor. The camp intensifies the persecution of those who firmly believe in Falun Dafa, denies visitation, and extends their detention terms. Some practitioners in the camp protest the persecution by refusing to do the forced labor and holding hunger strikes. In the Third Division, Wang Shulian (from Fengnan), Zhang Guirong (from Yanshan), Xiao Xiangyu (from Anguo), Ma Guifen (from Qianxi), Qiao Jinlan (from Dingxing), Liu Liping (from Shahe), Wei Yuhui (from Tangshan), Liu Xiumin (from Handan), and other practitioners are holding a sitting-down strike to protest the slave labor. Among them, Wang Shulian, Xiao Xiangyu, and Liu Liping are experiencing high blood pressure, and Qiao Jinlan has severe diabetes. Zhang Guirong has been confined to a small cell many times, and she was beaten and shocked with electric batons. Her body and legs were covered with bruises.
On January 13, 2013, Minghui.org published an article entitled, “How to Help Family Members Who Are Detained in Labor Camps” (http://www.minghui.org/mh/articles/2013/1/13/怎样帮助黑窝中受难的亲人-267739.html). The article stated, “Inquiries and attention from the outside helps to stop evildoing by the guards and improve the situations of our detained family members.” Falun Dafa practitioners in local areas are helping the families of those detained practitioners and taking advantage of visitation to demand the release of the innocent practitioners from the forced labor camps. The purpose is to stop the camps from committing wrongdoing, alleviate the persecution of fellow practitioners, wake up the guards and authorities who still have a conscience, and help people to discern right from wrong.
