(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Baojun from Tianyoufang Village, Fanjiatun Town, Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province, was arrested while distributing Shen Yun DVDs at around 10 a.m. on January 18, 2013.
A Changed Man After Learning Falun Dafa
Mr. Wu had a bad temper before practicing Falun Dafa and frequently fought with others. Nobody in his village dared to offend him. He often quarreled with his wife and even beat her. But after practicing Falun Dafa, Mr. Wu changed greatly. His family became harmonious, he spoke in a soft voice and became polite to his wife.
In his daily life, Mr. Wu helped others. His neighbors often went to him when they had difficulties. Once, a villager called Mr. Wu to pick him up, because other transportation was not convenient. Although Mr. Wu was working at home on a hot day, he did not complain and drove to pick up the villager. When he returned, the back of his shirt was soaked with sweat but he had no complaints at all.
Last year, Mr. Wu installed a solar water heater so he could take showers at home. In rural areas, not many people can afford to install solar water heaters, so Mr. Wu thought of others first and invited his neighbors to take showers at his home.
Mr. Wu Arrested, His Family Hopes for His Return
At around 10 a.m. on January 18, 2013, as Mr. Wu distributed Shen Yun DVDs at a marketplace in Yongfa Township, Gongzhuling City, he was arrested by police. His car keys, cell phone and his son's phone card were confiscated. He was detained in the Gongzhuling Detention Center. His family members asked to meet with him, but were refused and given no reason.
Now only his wife and two daughters-in-law are at home. During the Chinese New Year, a time when families are normally celebrating together, Mr. Wu's family members are missing him and are worried for his safety. His grandsons are also waiting for his return.
