(Minghui.org) A triad boss named Yang Zi would always come to the store where I worked to buy steel plates. He wanted to buy the best material at an unreasonably low price. I was in charge of the merchants and would not sell it to him, so he was very upset with me. Each time, I would treat him and guide him following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. After a while, he understood a lot about being a good person. The following is what he told me:
“Sister, before I met you, I thought I was ferocious. I could take care of anything using fists and knives. I would do anything to get what I wanted and would not stop until I did. Ever since you told me the principles of Falun Dafa, I've become a different person. Remember when I told you about my back pain, kidney problem, night sweats, and fatigue? You didn't look down on me. Instead, you told me in a very kind way that I should stop being angry, because anger would hurt my liver and kidneys. When I told you that one of my subordinates lied to me and ran away with my money and that I was going to find and kill him, you told me a story about treating those who wronged you with kindness and compassion. You asked me to treat everything and everyone with sincerity, kindness, and tolerance. You said, 'What are you going to do after you kill him? Does he deserve to die now? What if something terrible happened to you? What are your parents going to do without you? You want the two of you to pay with your lives because of a few pennies? You want him to go after you in your next life? When is this going to end? A man should not do something that he will regret for the rest of his life because of momentary anger.' You utterly changed my mind, and I gave up the idea of killing him. Now I know what Falun Gong is, and your great compassion and tolerance changed my opinions and attitudes. Now I want to treat people and things in my life with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and I believe that Falun Dafa is good. I can feel that I get into less trouble now, and my health has improved tremendously. Everything is fine now. I thank Master Li, and I thank you!”
Sincerely Reciting “Falun Dafa Is Good,” Ten-Year Drug Addict Quits Overnight
In October 2005, the Chinese Communist Party put me in a detention center because of my belief in Falun Dafa. There I met Hong, a drug addict who had committed robbery. That night she told me, “I can't fall asleep on my own and have to be under the same cover with you so I can fall asleep.” I agreed. It was just her and me in the room.
The room was cold and damp, and the blanket was small, thick, and full of holes. There was no way two people could sleep under that blanket, so I let her have it while I meditated on the floor. She woke up after a while and said, “I had a dream. Several girls were practicing Falun Gong, and they asked me to join them. I said that I was too mean and was not worthy of it.” She then told me how she was on drugs and had joined the triad. When I encouraged her to do the right thing and give up the drugs, she said dismissively, “A lot of people have already told me that, and they were even more eloquent than you.”
The next day, she was suffering with withdrawal symptoms. She cried a lot, but the guards did not do anything. Her pupils dilated, and she rolled around on the bed, swearing to kill herself. She asked me for cocaine. I told her, “I have nothing but nine auspicious words: 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' Recite them with me and ask Master to save you!” She begged me, “There are tens of thousands of worms in me, and rats are biting me. Please rub my back and legs!” I did what she asked the whole night while sending righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil in her dimensions. By dawn, she fell asleep.
She woke up on the third day. Her first words were, “My addiction is gone, gone! I can feel it. This time I really quit. You know, I have been on drugs for ten years and spent hundreds of thousands of yuan on them. I have been to all the famous rehabilitation centers more than once, and each time I suffered tremendously! They could not help me quit. Last night you asked me to recite 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,' and I did until I fell asleep! Thanks to you and Master Li, I quit the drugs. I had a wonderful dream, too. Master Li was speaking at a podium in a sonorous voice. I could hear him clearly in the back of the room. Those at the lecture were all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and other gods, and they were all kneeling. What a magnificent scene. I am telling the truth!”
She had diarrhea that afternoon. She told me that she always had constipation and had eaten almost nothing that day. I told her that Master was cleansing her body. I asked whether she felt unwell. She said, “No, what came out was all pus. Oh, I see. I have been on drugs for ten years, and now the drugs are being eliminated from me. Terrific! I think I should practice Falun Gong because it is really good! Since the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, I have always been incarcerated with Falun Gong practitioners when I was arrested. I've known that the practitioners are all nice people. When I was taken into the detention center this time, I asked the guard who my cellmate was. He told me, 'A Falun Gong practitioner.' I said to him, 'Why do you always arrest me? I don't practice Falun Gong.' The guard said, 'Maybe you should. Look at her, she is much better than you!' They, in fact, know that practitioners are good people. I wanted to see if you were as kind as those practitioners I've met before. They were all old ladies. I found out that you are just as nice and kind as they!”
Hong would normally have been incarcerated for two weeks and would have to pay a fine. This time, they let her go in four days. She said, “It is because I believe in Falun Dafa and Master Li saved me!”
