Birth of My Plan to Disintegrate the Evil in Our City

When I enlightened to the fact that we must take action to destroy the evil in the prison in our city, I had two reasons in mind: First, many Dafa disciples had been disabled or tortured to death at this prison; even some armed guards couldn’t stand the extreme brutality involved in these heinous crimes, and they all condemned the atrocities being committed. As Dafa disciples, it was our responsibility to destroy the evil in this place; otherwise we’d be passively accepting the evil and committing crimes ourselves. Secondly, I wanted to help improve the local environment so we could do better in helping save sentient beings. Every labor camp and prison is an evil den and those demons not only exert a tremendous amount of pressure on fellow practitioners, but also employ all kinds of means to persecute them. Every year, practitioners from our city are arrested and tortured to death. According to my observations, the persecution of practitioners is usually more severe in places where there are prisons. If we were able to completely destroy the evil in my city, it would be an unprecedented, grand feat. We could then keep the momentum going by working on other cities until we disintegrated all the evil in every prison in our province. This way the evil would be uprooted from our province. When these large amounts of evil get cleared out, the practitioners in our province would be able to help save sentient beings to a greater extent.

I also came to see that the success of my plan called for several conditions: First of all, I must set strict requirements for myself and make sure I cultivate well so as not to leave any loopholes for the evil to exploit. Secondly, it was not enough to just rely on practitioners in our city. We needed support from other cities in our province. After all, this prison also incarcerated out-of-town practitioners and its evil was backed by other prisons in the province. Thirdly, practitioners in my city needed to form an indestructible, unified body. Lastly, we must expose the local evil in a comprehensive, large scale manner.

Execution of My Plan

After I thought through everything, it came time to execute the plan. I didn’t know any coordinators in other cities and only had contact with a few family members of out-of-town practitioners detained in our city’s prison. So it really took a great effort to locate other coordinators. I also had to start a dialogue with them to explain why we needed to disintegrate the evil in that prison. Several months passed before we all came to an agreement on how to carry out my plan.

There were ups and downs during the process, but Master always arranged someone or a certain thing to encourage me whenever I lost confidence. A practitioner once said to me while crying, “This project is really important, so you must do it all the way to the end. I’m sure you’ll succeed!” I was deeply touched and inspired. Later, another practitioner came to help, and we worked together until the end of the project.

My biggest concern in carrying out this plan was safety. I had a feeling that if I failed to achieve my goal, I’d bring safety hazards to our fellow practitioners. As a result, I was still hesitant even when all the preparations were completed and everything was ready to go. Then one day I received a text message with only one sentence reading, “When you are determined to do something, usually it’s very easy to accomplish your mission.” Strangely, there was no sender’s phone number on display. I was very shocked by what I read, but when I took a second look, the message disappeared without a trace. I realized that it was Master that was sending me a hint and encouraging me to be determined all the way to the end. Only by doing this could Master offer help. Master had gotten everything ready, and all I needed to do was act with determination. I also came to see that Master was the one who was really doing this project, so all I needed was to follow through. After all, “Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.” (Zhuan Falun) My deeper understanding of this Fa principle now felt very different from before: Master is doing everything. This enlightenment played an important role in helping me carry out my plan. Since it was Master that was doing this project, it could only succeed. As a result, all the stress I had about safety went away.

Master said in Zhuan Falun,

“If you are a true practitioner, our Falun will safeguard you. I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe.”

This project called for us to let go of our attachment to validate ourselves and to keep in mind that we were just carrying out Master’s will. As a matter of fact, the scope of this project was extremely serious and any deviation could conceivably invite terrible consequences.

While carrying out the plan, we first widely exposed the crimes committed by this prison and then targeted the prison to send forth righteous thoughts as one body. Practitioners in the entire province joined forces in this effort. Twenty days later the evil in this prison was completely disintegrated, and all Dafa disciples detained there were transferred to other prisons.

Basis for My Plan

When I first started talking to people about my plan, they were most concerned about my intentions and wondered what I really wanted to achieve by doing this project. Some practitioners were happy that the evil in that prison was disintegrated, but felt it was a pity that none of the practitioners detained there had been released. They doubted if our intentions for doing this project were accurate. I explained that the purpose of doing this project was to disintegrate the evil, not just to rescue our fellow practitioners. There was nothing wrong with this basis since even non-practitioners spoke about their desire to completely wipe out the evil. Then what did completely wiping out the evil from the viewpoint of practitioners mean? It was my understanding that we should not leave any room for the evil to do further harm during our efforts. In other words, when we tried to rescue fellow practitioners, we couldn’t still harbor any thought of keeping the prison intact.

I also pointed out that there were many complicated factors that led to some practitioners' arrests and detention. If we just did the project from the perspective of rescuing our fellow practitioners, we may be taken advantage of by the evil. As such, we may have gotten one or two people freed, but the larger scale evil would still be running rampant and more practitioners may have been arrested. So our project aimed to completely disintegrate the evil and lessen the evil’s control over sentient beings and its pressure on practitioners. While carrying out our project, we exposed the evil so we could save sentient beings. If we wanted all the detained practitioners released, we’d have to wait until all the evil in all prisons was disintegrated. So after we succeeded in doing away with the evil in the first prison, we should keep going until all the prisons were covered.

Reflection on Failed Follow-up Efforts

When we tried to disintegrate the evil in a second prison from a neighboring city, we didn’t achieve the same result. Some coordinators in the neighboring city were persecuted by the evil. Upon reflection, I personally thought the following factors were responsible for the failure. First of all, practitioners in the neighboring city became zealous after learning of the success in our city. Such zeal made room for the evil to take advantage of this loophole, so practitioners there appeared to lack focus during their efforts. Secondly, some practitioners failed to cooperate with each other. The practitioners interfered with also had their own personal agendas. Lastly, the most important factor was that the evil took revenge against us, which we were unprepared for. The manifestation of the revenge was that three days after the whole province’s practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts together, the evil launched a mass arrest affecting all cities in the province. I knew clearly that the evil’s plan was arranged to block our efforts. Another practitioner and I tried to prevent this from happening, and we published an article on Minghui to warn other practitioners, yet we didn’t succeed.

Moreover, someone sent a piece of false news to Minghui claiming that a certain prison transferred several hundred practitioners to the prison in our city. When I saw the article, I knew right away it couldn’t be true, since the prison in our city didn’t have the capacity to hold that many practitioners. From a Fa-rectification point of view, it was my understanding that once Master did away with the evil in that prison, there was no way for it to make its way back. My suspicion was confirmed by subsequent investigations, but many practitioners were fooled by the news, and so evil was able to create barriers to break up our unity.

Suggestions

A few days before I wrote this article, I had a chance talk with a coordinator from another city. He asked me what would be my next step and what suggestions I’d give him. I said, “As a coordinator the first objective we should consider is to create or improve the local environment so practitioners can help save people more effectively. I feel that disintegrating the evil in our entire province is the only way we can truly improve the environment. Master mentioned numerous times that human beings could be saved only when the evil controlling them is eliminated.

Concluding Remarks

The old forces have created many false appearances and tried to force us to accept their arrangements. We should let go of our attachment to validate ourselves and increase our capacity to be more compassionate and tolerant towards fellow practitioners. By doing so, we’re walking on a righteous path arranged by Master.
