(Minghui.org) The Qiqihar City police have continually followed and tapped the phones of local Falun Gong practitioners. On September 27, 2013, police officers illegally broke into several practitioners' residences and illegally arrested them. Officers from the Jiang'an Police Station arrested Ms. Li Aiying that afternoon. When she was released just over 20 days later, she was severely emaciated and still cannot walk or eat normally.
Below is Ms. Li's account of the torture she suffered in detention, simply because she practices Falun Gong:
At 3 p.m. on September 27, 2013, I was about to leave my home. Several plainclothes police suddenly appeared and arrested me. They searched my backpack, took my keys, and entered my house. They took personal items, including Falun Dafa books. They then forced me to go to the Jiang'an Police station.
An officer wrapped a piece of mop around a wooden stick and stuck it in my mouth, saying this was an examination. I bit off the wood. He then replaced the stick with a steel bar and brutally jammed it into my mouth. It tore my throat and the inside of my mouth and there was blood everywhere. I couldn't stop vomiting. The next day they transferred me to the Qiqihar Detention Center to continue the torture.
Torture reenactment: brutal beating
At the detention center, I refused to wear the prison jumpsuit. A guard goaded the other prisoners into beating and slapping me. A female guard, whose last name was Han, dragged me from my cell by my hair. She kicked me and yelled in front of her supervisors, “You have to do what we say because we are the armed police!”
I said, “I am not guilty of any crime. Falun Gong practitioners are all good people.” They kicked and punched me like I was a ball and injured my lower back. Then they shackled and handcuffed me and dragged me back to the cell.
At 11 a.m. on September 29, officers from the Jiang'an Police Station came to the Detention Center to interrogate me. I couldn't walk because of my injured spine. A female police with a last name beginning with E ordered prisoners to drag me by my clothes across the ground. My head was buried in the clothes and my lower body was almost naked. My pants nearly fell off and my underwear was torn. I was dragged to the interrogation room this way, wearing 50-lb. shackles. In the room, the police demanded to know if I knew a certain practitioner, which I denied. They dragged me back to my cell.
Because my mouth and throat were injured when I was at the Jiang'an Police Station, I couldn't eat. I tried to drink a little but it hurt terribly and I vomited. I couldn't keep food down. With the added brutal physical torture, my health deteriorated. The prison doctor gave me medicine but I had an adverse reaction to the drugs. I vomited out the drugs with a lot of blood.
Twenty days after my arrest, I was skin and bones and was near death. On October 24, 2013, I was released because the Jiang'an Police Station and Qiqihar Detention Center didn't want to be held responsible if I died.
Currently, there are still several Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned and being tortured in the Qiqihar Detention Center. They are Ms. Wang Zhongxia, Ms. Shi Yuxia, Mr. Shi Shixin, Ms. Wu Guijing, Zhao Xiaoguang, Ms. Qi Yuzhen, Ms. Cai Guilan, Ms. Sun Zhongqiu, Ms. Zhu Yuzhen, Ms. Chen Hong, Chen Hong's aunt, Ms. Xie Wei, Ms. Xie Li, Zhang (first name unknown), Sun (first name unknown), Gao (first name unknown), Mr. Li Derong, and Ms. Wang Fengying.
