Additional Persecution News from China – December 19, 2013 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chang Hexin Arrested

Ms. Chang Hexin was arrested on December 17, 2013. She was later released.

2. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yuxiu and Ms. Luo Baoqing Detained

Ms. Liu Yuxiu and Ms. Luo Baoqing were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Decheng District Police Department, including Zhang Xikun, on September 7, 2013. They are being held at a detention center.

3. [Heilongjiang] Ms. Liu Rangfang Imprisoned

Ms. Liu Rangfang, 52, is being held in the No. 11 Ward of the Heilongjiang Women's Prison.

4. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Gao Shuzhong and Mr. Zhang Yuhua were arrested at Mr. Gao's home by officers from Baoding City and Baigou Town on December 17, 2013. Mr. Gao has been hospitalized at the Shishizhenggu Hospital because of high blood pressure. He is monitored by police around the clock. Mr. Zhang is being held at the Gaoqiao Police Station.

5. [Qianan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wen Cuijuan and Ms. Wang Xiujuan Detained

Ms. Wen Cuijuan and Ms. Wang Xiujuan were arrested by officers from the Dawuli Police Station and the Qianan Domestic Security Division on December 12, 2013. They are being held at the Qianan Detention Center.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Fengxiang and Ms. Wang Cuixiang Arrested

Ms. Liu Fengxiang and Ms. Wang Cuixiang were arrested by officers from the Cuiping Police Station on December 15, 2013, for telling people about Falun Gong and the persecution. They were released after police extorted money from their families.

7. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tang Shi and Her Mother Arrested

Ms. Tang Shi and her mother were recently arrested by officers from the Huanggu Police Department.

8. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Hanjie Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Yang Hanjie, 70, was arrested at home by officers from the Chengganglu Police Station on the afternoon of December 16, 2013. He was taken to the Dianzi Brainwashing Center.

9. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Li Zhenqian Arrested

Mr. Li Zhenqian was arrested by officers from the local police department on December 12, 2013. He was released after being held for 5 days.

10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Han Xiurong was arrested at home by officers from the Duanminglu Police Station on the morning of December 18, 2013. The officers ransacked her home and took her to the Fengrun District Police Department.

Ms. Xu Jiuling, Ms. Wang Liwu, and Ms. Xiong Fengyan were arrested by officers from the Tangshan City Police Department, the Fengrun District Police Department, and the Tuanjielu Police Station on the same day. Their homes were also ransacked. Ms. Xu and Ms. Han are being held at the Fengrun District Police Department.

11. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Shufen and Others Arrested

Ms. Sun Shufen and several other practitioners were arrested on December 18, 2013. They are being held on the first floor of the Dongchang Police Department.

12. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yan Fenghua Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison

Ms. Yan Fenghua was arrested by officers from the Mudanjiang Railway Police Department on August 27, 2013. She was incarcerated at the Mudanjiang Detention Center. The Xian District Court held a secret trial and sentenced her to 4 years in prison on December 3, 2013. Ms. Yan was transferred to the Harbin Women's Prison on December 18, 2013.

13. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Bai Ailou Arrested

Officers from the Xiaobu Village Police Station broke into Mr. Han Hongzhi's home and arrested his wife, Ms. Bai Ailou, on the morning of December 17, 2013.

14. [Qiyang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Nanying Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Chen Nanying, 72, was arrested by officers from the Jinbaotong Police Station on November 14, 2013. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shao Shuxia and Others Arrested

Ms. Shao Shuxia and several other practitioners were recently arrested.

16. [Feidong County, Anhui Province] Ms. Kang Zihui Detained

Ms. Kang Zihui was recently arrested and taken to the Hefei City Detention Center.

17. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Yuping Detained

Ms. Wu Yuping was arrested by officers from the Gongren Police Department on December 17, 2013, for talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. She is being held at the police department.
