(Minghui.org) The CN (Canadian National) Tower, a major tourist site in Toronto, welcomes busloads of Chinese tourists throughout the year. Falun Gong practitioners have been volunteering there to raise awareness about the practice and the persecution every day for the past decade.
In the past, many Chinese tourists visiting the site refused to accept materials about Falun Gong for fear of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). However, with persistent efforts by Falun Gong volunteers, both inside and outside China, more and more Chinese people have begun to question the persecution. They have since become willing, oftentimes eager, to accept informational materials. Many have joined the movement to quit the CCP.
The volunteers at this tourist site have seen many CCP officials completely change their attitudes upon learning the truth about Falun Gong. The behavior of these officials is notably different when exiting the tower, compared with when they arrived. Even corrupted officials who profit much from their positions in the CCP are re-evaluating their options and renouncing their Party memberships.
Below are just a few stories shared by the volunteers who maintain a regular presence at the CN Tower for the sake of helping their fellow Chinese.

CCP Officials Quickly Change Their Attitudes
Ms. Zhou Chuanying shared a recent story of how a group of CCP officials reacted upon learning the facts about the persecution. She says, “It is worth it even if I can help only one person.”
One day, a group of Chinese visitors got out of a van at the site. Ms. Zhou greeted them in Chinese, “Welcome to Canada!” The group tried to avoid her at first, but she spoke to them in a friendly manner until she got their attention.
She said, “If you work in public security, please stop persecuting Falun Gong. Jiang Zemin has been sued in many countries for his crimes against innocent citizens. You too are in danger if you don't stop persecuting Falun Gong.”
The entire group began listening attentively. Ms. Zhou continued, “You should quit the CCP using your real names and help expose the persecution. Bo Xilai's ranking was very high. He was rich and had a big boss behind him. No one could deal with him, but Gods can punish him. He was involved in the crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, and had a body [plastination] factory in Dalian. You may not know about all the terrible things he did, but you know his end. This brochure can answer many questions for you. Please take one with you.”
A man snatched the brochure off Ms. Zhou's hands and said, “All of this is fabricated.” He then put the brochure in his pocket, and the group left for their tour of the tower.
After the group returned from the tour, their attitudes were completely different. They listened to Ms. Zhou carefully and had a nice conversation with her. Ms. Zhou advised them to remember “Falun Dafa is great. Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are great.” They all agreed.
Change of a Corrupt Official
Ms. Wang Jinju sees that even corrupt officials who profit much from the CCP are re-evaluating their options under the influence of the quitting-the-CCP movement, in which over 150 million Chinese have decided to renounce their memberships in the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
One Chinese man, who identified himself as “a corrupt official,” asked Ms. Wang, “Why should I quit the party? The CCP gives me houses, cars, and even a house in the U.S. What can you give me? Why should I quit the party?”
“It's not your fault that you are corrupt, it's the CCP's fault. Those who weren't corrupt aren't able to keep their positions.” Ms. Wang responded, “The CCP openly killed people at Tiananmen Square during the crackdown of the democratic movement, and openly denied the killing. The so-called 'self-immolation on Tiananmen Square' was a staged show, created by the CCP to slander Falun Gong. Behind closed doors, they harvest organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Good will be rewarded and wicked will be punished. When the CCP is punished, where will you go and what will you do?”
“You asked me what I can give you. I can give you a way to save your life.” She continued, “What good is having houses and cars if you don't even have a life? So, don't delay, give yourself an alternative. If you haven't been involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, you can probably quit the Party using a nickname. If you have, you should use your real name.”
The official remained silent for a while and said, “I will think about what you said.” He took Ms. Wang's phone number and materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.
High-Ranking Official Quits the CCP
On another occasion a Chinese man got out of a car, and following him were two footmen carrying his belongings. The man stopped and seemed to go into deep thought upon seeing the Falun Gong banners and photo display. Falun Gong practitioner Wang Hongmin greeted him, “You look like a party official. I may not have a chance to see you in China, but I'm glad we have a chance to meet today!” The man answered with a smile, “I'm just a low-level director.” He signaled his footmen to stay away.
Wang said, “Don't ever get involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. The CCP specializes in brainwashing people, especially its officials, and has committed terrible crimes. It's doomed. I hope you will stay away from the CCP. I have a brochure for you to read. You will find out why so many people have chosen to quit the CCP for their own safety. I hope you will choose to quit too. Your family will benefit from it as well.” The official-looking man put his hands behind his back and opened one hand. Wang put a brochure in his hand. He quickly slipped it into his pocket.
Wang said, “This is a rare opportunity. I can quit the CCP for you using the nickname 'Fada'. What's your family name?” He replied, “Zhang.” Wang said, “OK, Mr. Zhang Fada will quit the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers.” He nodded with “OK,” and then hurriedly left. The two footmen nodded at Wang too and followed him.
Official of Chinese Ministry of State Security Quits the CCP
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu, 76, goes to the CN Tower early in the morning almost every day. One time, three Chinese tourists took photographs of her banners as soon as they emerged from their car. Ms. Yu greeted them, “Fellow countrymen, you must be from China.” The man holding the camera replied, “We are from Beijing.”
Pointing at another man, he told Ms. Yu, “Do you know who he is? He works for the Ministry of State Security.” Ms. Yu said, “Great! It's great to guard the people's security.” He remained silent. Ms. Yu continued, “I'm glad to meet you. Let me tell you some news you won't hear in China.” Ms. Yu told them about Falun Dafa's wide spread around the world, about the staged “self-immolation on Tiananmen Square,” the CCP's persecution of Chinese people, and the upcoming turning point in Chinese history. At this point, the official began to give Ms. Yu a smile.
Yu continued explaining, “It's heavenly law that the good will be rewarded and the wicked punished. Chen Mang, the person who produced the video of the self-immolation, incited hatred toward Buddha Law. He ended up dying in his forties. Luo Jing, the news anchor who served as the mouthpiece for the CCP propaganda, also died in his forties. They deceived the people all around the world. Isn't it a terrible crime?” The man looked shocked.
Yu said to him, “Your visit to Canada is a great opportunity. Please don't become a scapegoat for the CCP. It has killed so many people. Leave a chance for yourself and your family. You should take this opportunity to quit the CCP. How about quitting the Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers using the nickname 'Haoyun'?” The official finally started talking. He said, “Good! Great! Thank you!” Ms. Yu advised him to treat Falun Gong practitioners kindly. He replied, “I will.”
