(Minghui.org) I obtained the Fa in the spring of 1997. I used to have many illnesses, including joint pain, stomach problem, anemia, blood insufficiency and neurasthenia. I was unable to do much about them for over eight years. However, shortly after I began to practice Falun Gong, all such illnesses disappeared and I regained a healthy body. I knew that Master had cleansed my body. Thank you Master and Dafa.
After the persecution of Falun Gong began, I persisted in practicing Dafa. I own a barber shop and I clarify the truth about the persecution to my customers.
Eliminating the Attachment of Fear with Righteous Thoughts
In the summer of 2009, the lady who cuts the soldier's hair in a military base had to take some time off and her mother asked me to fill in for her. I realized this was a rare opportunity to clarify the truth to the soldiers since most of them were deceived by the Chinese dictatorship's propaganda and misunderstood Dafa. They seldom went out of their base and did not have many chances to learn the real story behind the persecution. I asked Master to help me save them.
I clarified the truth to the soldiers while cutting their hair. Some agreed and some were unwilling to listen. When some asked questions, I answered them. Things went fairly smoothly. One day after returning home from work, the hair dresser's mother visited and told me that her daughter received a phone call saying that an officer at the base asked about me since they heard I was telling soldiers about Falun Gong. She and her daughter were scared. I told her, “I was the one who talked about Falun Gong. This has nothing to do with your daughter. Should there be any consequences I'll take full responsibility.”
After she left, I also started to feel uneasy. Was it really going to be fine? What should I do? However, I remembered that what I did was the most righteous thing in the universe and no being had the right to test me or persecute me.
Master said:
Should you have fear,
it will seize upon you
If thoughts are righteous,
evil will collapse
The cultivator’s mind
is loaded with Fa
Send righteous thoughts,
and rotten demons explode
Gods walk the earth,

What's to fear? I am one of Master's disciples. I shouldn't be afraid of anything since Master is looking after me. I discarded such cowardice and calmed down. On the second day, the lady's father came. I clarified the truth to him and told him that I did not do anything wrong. Since then, nobody has brought up this matter. I knew that Master resolved this tribulation for me.
No Interference Allowed
In March and April of this year, soldiers came to our area for training and stayed for over a month. Many of them came to my barber shop to have their hair cut on weekends. I decorated the wall with lucky phrases such as: “Heaven Blesses Your Happiness and Safety” and “Sincerely Reciting 'Falun Dafa Is Good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is Good' Will Save You When Disasters Arrive.” Some customers enthusiastically asked me questions about Dafa when they saw the cards.
When my daughter stopped by my shop, she always took down the cards. Then I put them up again after she left. Such did so a few times. I knew that the evil manipulated her to do so and it was not of her own intention. It was not good for her life. When she tried to do it again, I told her not to interfere with me since I am doing the best thing in the universe which is to save sentient beings. I must let everyone be aware of the truth and position themselves for their own future. Master is looking after me. Since then, my daughter no longer interfered with my work. She sometimes burned a stick of incense to show respect to Master.
Once, an officer came to my shop and saw the cards on the wall. Then he went outside and told the soldiers not to go to my shop. The neighboring shop owner was afraid that our salon would be shut down and asked me to take down the cards. I did not do so because my shop is not merely a business, it's also a crucial place where sentient beings may learn the truth about Dafa. I asked Master to help guide people to my shop to hear the truth. Many officers and soldiers who previously obtained DVDs and materials pertaining to the persecution of Falun Dafa from me came back to ask for more.
I did my best to clarify the truth to every one of my customers, regardless of their age, including people with mental disabilities since they also have their conscious side. Sometimes my heart was unable to remain unmoved when faced with objection or laughter and hence missed some opportunities to successfully clarify the truth. I will however find my shortcomings and do better in the future. I know that I am far from Master's requirements and fall short in comparison to other diligent practitioners. I will be more diligent. Please point out anything inappropriate.
