Furniture Store Owner and Two Other Practitioners Held in a Brainwashing Center

(Minghui.org) A furniture store owner was arrested at her home in Chengdu on September 4, 2013, for practicing Falun Gong. The police confiscated personal belongings worth more than 10,000 yuan and arrested her mother, Ms. Li Zhongfang; her employee, Ms. Hong Yizhao; and a visitor, Ms. Deng Shaoying. The four women, all Falun Gong practitioners, were taken to the Fuqin Police Station.

Ms. Yang owns a furniture store located in the Shengdiya Furniture Mall. Two plainclothes officers attempted to arrest her at work earlier in the day but did not succeed, so they went to her home.

Ms. Yang, Ms. Hong, and Ms. Deng are being held in the Jinniu Brainwashing Center. Ms. Yang's mother was released, but the police are monitoring her. The police harassed her and attempted to take her to the brainwashing center.

The police did not let Ms. Yang take care of her business, resulting in great loss to her company.

The police attempted to arrest other practitioners by monitoring Ms. Yang's home and tapping the phone lines.
