Additional Persecution News from China – September 17, 2013 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Cuihuan and Ms. Liu Guilan Arrested

Ms. Hu Cuihuan and Ms. Liu Guilan from Hulan District were arrested by officers from the Xinmin Police Station in the Hulan District, while they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of September 11, 2013. The police searched their homes. The two practitioners are detained in the Hulan District Detention Center.

2. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Baolian Arrested

Several policemen from the Zhaoyuan 610 Office and the Mengzhi Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Wang Baolian and arrested her and her son, Mr. Xiao Du on September 13, 2013. Ms. Wang's home is located at Beiling Village in Mengzhi. The police confiscated her computer, cell phone, printer and a large amount of cash from her home. Her son was released that night, but Ms. Wang is still being held at the Zhaoyuan Brainwashing Center.

3. [Heze, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

The Heze police arrested Ms. Deng Jiuyun, Ms. Wang Ailing, Ms. Kong Ying and Ms. Guo Yanyan on August 22, 2013. They are being held at a detention center.

4. [Taiyuan, Shanxi Province] Mr. Tian Yunfei and His Wife Persecuted

Mr. Tian Yunfei, 49, was taken away by plainclothes officers from the Beitun Residential Area Police Office while he distributed Shen Yun DVDs near the Domestic Security Office on Yifen Street on the afternoon of August 7, 2013. He is being held at a brainwashing center.

Mr. Tian's wife, Ms. Zhang Yingxiang, 48, was detained by the guards from the brainwashing center when she went to visit him at the beginning of September 2013. She is also detained in the same brainwashing center.

5. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Wenxiu Arrested

Ms. Dong Wenxiu was arrested by officers from the Chengdong Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong on the evening of August 20, 2013. The police searched her home and took away her Falun Dafa books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, two cell phones, and about 2000 yuan cash. Ms. Dong was released the next afternoon.

6. [Xiantao, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Dongmei Arrested

Ms. Wang Dongmei was recently arrested in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. She is being held at the Banqiao Brainwashing Center in Hubei Province.

7. [Tianshui, Gansu Province] Ms. Jia Minglan Arrested

Ms. Jia Minglan from Maiji District, Tianshui was arrested by officers from the Maiji Police Department Branch on the night of September 15, 2013. The police searched her home and took away her computer, Falun Dafa books, and informational materials about Falun Gong.

8. [Dazhou, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Dexiu and an Elderly Practitioner Arrested

Ms. Chen Dexiu was taken away by domestic security agents in front of the building where she lives on September 13, 2013. An elderly practitioner, who was visiting her at the time, was also taken away. Their whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Shuqi and Ms. Zhang Shumei Arrested

Ms. Yang Shuqi and Ms. Zhang Shumei were arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong at the Longfeng Mall on the afternoon of September 11, 2013.

10. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Feng Zhaoyun Arrested

Ms. Feng Zhaoyun was reported to the police and arrested on September 9, 2013, when she presented money bearing written messages explaining the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being detained in the Weizigou Detention Center.

11. [Panzhihua, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jin Xiaorong Arrested

Ms. Jin Xiaorong was arrested by local domestic security agents around September 1, 2013. The officers searched her home and confiscated her computer, printer and Falun Dafa materials. She is being held at the Panzhihua Detention Center.
