(Minghui.org) Mr. Liang Pan and Mr. Ma Yongxian (both businessmen around 40 years old) each carried a fellow Falun Gong practitioner on their motorcycle and headed out to distribute truth-clarification materials in their local area on the night of September 15, 2013. When they passed Fuyi Town in Yanting County, they saw a police car approaching from a side road.
They paid no attention to the police car and kept distributing truth-clarification materials to the local residents. The police saw them and arrested Mr. Liang and his passenger, Ms. Liu Weibi. Seeing the arrest of Mr. Liang, Mr. Ma quickly turned around and escaped. The police confiscated Mr. Liang's motorcycle and computer, and ransacked his home.
The Yanting Public Security Bureau, in collaboration with the local Domestic Security Division, arrested Mr. Ma at noon on September 23, 2013. The arrest was likely enabled by the sky-net camera which photographed Mr. Ma's motorcycle license plate during the arrest a week earlier.
Ms. Liu Weibi, around 60 years old, was a retired worker at Jianxing Grain Distribution Station in Nanbu County. After she was arrested, the police tried to find out where she lived. Ms. Liu's husband, also a practitioner, learned of her arrest and did not go home to avoid being arrested and persecuted. Several days later he went to the bank to withdraw his wife's retirement pension. The bank told him that due to a system upgrade, his wife must come in person to make the withdrawal. In fact, there was no such system upgrade.
Mr. Ma's shop and home were ransacked, and the police confiscated belongings from the shop, as well as Mr. Ma's household register, and his wife's ID card. His wife, Ms. Ma Qingchun, around 40 and also a practitioner, had been arrested previously and sent to the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp. She almost suffered a mental collapse due to the persecution at the labor camp. The police stayed at their house for a period of time hoping to again arrest Ms. Ma. She is now forced to move from place to place to avoid arrest.
Mr. Liang and Mr. Ma are detained in the Yanting County Detention Center. Ms. Liu Weibi is detained in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. The exact location of her detainment is not known. When their families went to see them, the guards refused their visit.
