Elderly Woman Left Homeless After Four Years of Imprisonment

(Minghui.org) An elderly lady was illegally arrested and sentenced to prison simply because she practiced Falun Gong and lived by the principles of Truthfulness- Compassion-Tolerance, the teachings of Falun Gong. Party officials attempted to take her to a brainwashing center upon her release from prison, and she was consequently forced to leave her home in order to avoid further abuse.

An attempt to incarcerate this practitioner in a brainwashing center failed, thus the local 610 Office officials did not stop pursuing her. They pressured her former employer to stop paying her pension.

Ms. Peng Xueying is almost seventy years old, and her husband has passed away. This pension is the only source of income for her and her daughter, who suffers from a severe illness. Ms. Peng is from Pengshan County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province.

Ms. Peng had been in poor health in the past, and people used to say that she ate less than a cat. She felt that she was close to the end of her life, when she was fortunate to find Falun Dafa and became healthy.

She wanted to tell people about the beauty of Falun Gong and advise them not to believe the lies that were spread by the Chinese Communist Party. She was arrested in August 2009 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong, and later sentenced to four years in prison.

Ms. Peng's husband was bedridden and passed away because she could no longer care for him. Even when her husband was on his death bed, prison officials refused to let her see him one last time. Ms. Peng was released on June 24, 2013, yet the 610 Office was trying to take her to a brainwashing center again, only two months after she had returned home.

Because they could not find Ms. Peng, officials at the Pengshan 610 Office took Ms. Li Qinying, a teacher at the Pengshan First Elementary School, to the Meishan Brainwashing Center through deceptive methods. Zhang Zhichun, the head of the 610 Office, along with others, forced Ms. Li to give up her belief in Falun Dafa and write the so-called three statements. Ms. Li was released on October 29. During her incarceration, officials threatened Ms. Li’s family to not let other local practitioners know about her arrest, because they were afraid that their evil deeds would be exposed on the Minghui website.

We warn those who are still participating in the persecution, that they should stop their evil deeds, or they will meet with retribution and be punished by Heaven.
