(Minghui.org) Ms. Xu Decun was a 52-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province. Upon being released from a labor camp in 2012, she felt weak all over and suspected that her food had been poisoned. As her situation worsened, her family sent her to Zaozhuang Hospital on September 1, 2013.

Hospital officials obtained her medical insurance information, but were hesitant to admit Ms. Xu. A doctor then asked her family whether Ms. Xu believed in Falun Gong, and said, “If she practices Falun Gong, we will give her drugs specific for Falun Gong.” When she was sent to the Intensive Care Unit at 9 a.m. on September 6, Ms. Xu kept calling out, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” One minute later, a doctor announced her brain dead.

Torture reenactment: Forced injection of drugs

Ms. Xu's case causes people to wonder what kind of medicine was forced upon her. Given the systematic persecution environment that exists in China and her rapid death, it seems very likely that officials injected Ms. Xu with toxic drugs to destroy her mind and body.

Cases in Heilongjiang Province

Other practitioners' experiences support the above hypothesis. The notorious Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison is a place where Falun Gong practitioners are tortured. One day in 2002, Warden Zhao held a bottle for I.V. injection with a pink liquid in it and said to 13 practitioners, “If you stop practicing Falun Gong, you can go back to your cells; otherwise, we will inject this into you until you give up. This drug was specifically made for you Falun Gong practitioners and it is used nationwide. It can be injected either subcutaneously or through I.V.”

It was reported that Ms. Bi Shuping, a resident of Harbin City, died after being tortured on the Tiger Bench and injected with this drug. When a practitioner from Shuangcheng City was injected this drug through I.V., she suffered severe loss of muscle control. Furthermore, she was dizzy and suffered hallucinations, saying that everyone looked like a skeleton. Warden Zhao injected the drugs into these 13 practitioners subcutaneously and then increased the dosage. He also frequently checked if they had dizziness or heart pain.

At least three types of drugs were used during forced-feedings at Heilongjiang Province. One drug made people thirsty, with a dry tongue and painful eyes. Another made the victim's feet swell and become painful. The third drug made people defecate black feces and water.

Examples in Liaoning Province

The use of drugs in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has been even more rampant at Masanjia Labor Camp in Liaoning Province. Once, guards hung up Dalian City practitioner Ms. Sheng Lianying and then force-fed her. Labor camp doctor Hu said to guard Ma Jishan, “This is Drug No. 6. If we use No. 1, it would be more potent.” He then said to Ms. Sheng, “After taking this drug, you will no longer recognize your Master, or your family. You will have a mental disorder.”

Ms. Xu Hui, a retired worker from Jinzhou City in Liaoning Province had a similar experience. After she went to Tiananmen Square and unfurled a banner to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on July 20, 2007, officials arrested her and detained her at Masanjia Labor Camp. After she went on a hunger strike, the guards tied her to a torture device called the Dead Man’s Bed.

One day, Education Division officer Ma Jishan and four other people came in. Ma forcibly pried open Ms. Xu Hui’s mouth with a metal tool. He then tied one end of the opener with ropes to keep Ms. Xu’s mouth open. Officer Zhou Qin minced some unknown drugs and nurse Chen Bing forced them into Ms. Xu Hui’s mouth without water. Standing in front of Ms. Xu Hui and pointing at her, Ma said fiercely, “We will ruin you today. This is No. 1 and No. 2. We also have Numbers 3 through 5.” Because of the drug, Ms. Xu Hui’s heartbeat became weak, and she experienced mouth and facial pain. To prevent Ms. Xu Hui from dying and their being held responsible, the labor camp staff also gave her a heart stimulant.

Examples in Hubei Province

While the drugs were force-fed at Masanjia Labor Camp, injected drugs have been used at the Wuhan Brainwashing Center in Hubei Province. Small business owner Ms. Gao Shunqin was subjected to a forced injection in mid-April 2004. Directed by Wuhan City 610 Office head Hu Shaobin, Hu Shanping and other brainwashing center staff members forced Ms. Gao onto a table. A female doctor surnamed Hu then injected drugs into Ms. Gao, claiming it would ruin her practice of Falun Gong. Ms. Gao then felt dizziness, heart pain, and discomfort all over her body.

When officials injected unknown drugs into Ms. He Guihong at the so-called Hubei Law Education Center on July 2, 2010, guard Jiang Li explicitly said it was poison. The drugs made Ms. He dizzy and caused her feet to swell. She also had discomfort all over her body and was unable to walk normally.

Examples in Shandong Province

Officials who administered the drugs were clear about the consequences. When practitioner Mr. Su Gang from Zibo in Shandong Province was force-fed drugs and sent home, he was numb, and too weak to eat. He died 9 days later. When practitioner Ms. Xu Guiqin from Taian was force-fed drugs, she had similar symptoms and also died 9 days later.

The forced administration of drugs was always approved by higher officials. When Mr. Jiang Guobo, a former Weifang City government official in Shandong Province, was detained at the Weifang Labor Camp, the guards abused him with drugs many times. One day in mid-December 2005, he had severe stomach pain, accompanied by sweating and heart pain. Guards called officer Zhu Anle and doctor Liu. When Mr. Jiang told them about the drug abuse and especially those targeting the heart, Zhu denied it, “I can assure you that no heart-damaging drugs were included, because they always told me in advance what drugs to use. They did not talk about this lately…” Zhu then realized he had said too much and left.

The forced administration of toxic drugs is another potentially devastating tool used by the Chinese Communist Party in the persecution of Falun Gong.
