Additional Persecution News from China – September 26, 2013 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Xu Minghua was arrested at a store by officers from the local police department and Domestic Security Division on September 25, 2013. His computer and printer were confiscated. The store’s clerk was also arrested.

2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. He Xunming Detained

Mr. He Xunming was arrested on September 15, 2013. He is being held at the Jinan Detention Center.

3. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Xuehua Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Xuehua was arrested by director Hu Guiquan and other officers from the Xinan Police Station and Hailin Domestic Security Division on September 25, 2013, for speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was interrogated by the Hailin Domestic Security Division and then transferred to the Mudanjiang Brainwashing Center.

4. [Liuyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Lixia Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Lixia was arrested by officers from the local 610 Office and police station on August 31, 2013. She was taken to the Changsha City Laodaohe Brainwashing Center.

5. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Suying Detained

Ms. Wang Suying, 67, was arrested by officers from the Matiyingzi County Police Station and the Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Division on the morning of September 24, 2013. Police ransacked her home on September 23. Ms. Wang is being held at the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center.

6. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Ding Liyan Arrested

Ms. Ding Liyan, 51, was arrested on a train on September 19, 2013, after buying a train ticket with currency bills that had information about Falun Gong written them. A ticketing agent reported her to the police.

Ms. Ding was taken to the train’s dining car. Her two cell phones were confiscated. After the train arrived at Tongliao City, police ransacked her home and confiscated a laptop, a DVD player, DVDs, Falun Gong books, and bills with facts about Falun Gong written on them worth 1,300 yuan. Her family was able to bail her out later that day.

7. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Pengzhe Detained

Ms. Hao Pengzhe, in her 50s, was arrested by officers from the Renqiu City Police Department on the afternoon of September 24, 2013. She is being held at the Huabeiyoutianshuidian Detention Center.

8. [Luzhou, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Shu Anqing was sentenced to a three and a half years in prison.

Mr. Luo Zhenggui, 78, and his wife, Ms. Zhang Ziqin, were sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Luo was taken to the Leshan Wumaping Prison in mid-September 2013.

9. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xia Hongqin Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xia Hongqin was arrested by officers from Zhucheng City on September 7, 2013, because she had Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs with her when delivering goods in a private vehicle. She is being held in a brainwashing center.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Nan Zhenxin and Ms. Zhang Jingmei Arrested

Ms. Nan Zhenxin and Ms. Zhang Jingmei were arrested by officers from the Qingzhou Domestic Security Division and Chengli Police Station in mid-September 2013. They were subsequently released.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Likun Arrested

Ms. Wu Likun, 63, was arrested by police at Beiling Park on September 20, 2013, while posting informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

12. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Lu Bagen Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Lu Bagen was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Jingkou Court on the afternoon of September 18, 2013. He is being held at a detention center and is in poor physical condition.

13. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoqun Detained

Ms. Wang Xiaoqun was arrested on Sancha Road by plainclothes police on September 23, 2013, while speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Baiheshan Detention Center.

14. [Tianshui, Gansu Province] Ms. Jia Minglan Arrested

Ms. Jia Minglan, in her 50s, was arrested by police on September 21, 2013, when she spoke to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her DVD writer was confiscated.

15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Lingfu and Mr. Sun Zerong Arrested

Ms. Yang Lingfu and Mr. Sun Zerong were arrested at home by officers from the Wuhan City Police Department on the morning of September 24, 2013. Their laptops, inkjet and laser printers, DVD writers, paper cutters, blank discs, paper and cell phones were confiscated.
