Bystander Stands Up for Falun Gong Practitioner in Duchang County

(Minghui.org) Ms. Yin Xianping, a Falun Gong practitioner, was illegally arrested by a plainclothes officer at around 11 a.m. on September 7, 2013, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on Hangqiao Street in Tutang Township, Duchang County, Jiangxi Province.

According to eyewitnesses, the plainclothes officer was Zhou Wei, the head of the Tutang Township Police Station. Someone asked Zhou why he arrested the practitioner.

Zhou yelled, “She had the gall to distribute Falun Gong flyers in my district. Do you know who I am? I am from the police station; my job is to arrest Falun Gong practitioners.”

Ms. Yin tried to explain the facts about Falun Gong to him. She said: “The police are also lives to be saved. Falun Gong teaches people to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and be a good person. Distributing flyers is doing a good deed. We want people to hear the facts and be safe.”

Instead of listening, Zhou kept calling the police station until he reached someone. He yelled into the phone, “Come quickly in a police car to arrest a person.”

Standing Up for the Practitioner

A bystander held Zhou’s arm and urged him: “Do something good. Let her go. Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. Treat them well and you will be rewarded.”

Zhou did not listen, but grabbed the woman's shirt and held on to her.

She asked: “Why do you grab me? I didn’t do anything.”

Zhou then grabbed her bag and told her: “Don’t you leave. Follow me to the police station to straighten things out.”

The woman replied, “Why do I have to listen to you?” She got out of his hold and left.

Ms. Yin Xianping Detained

Ms. Yin Xianping is 48 years old. She is a nurse at the Duchang County Blood Station and is known for being kindhearted and very nice to people.

At the time of her arrest, Ms. Yin carried a plastic bag with no more than 10 flyers and a few DVDs with information about Falun Gong.

Zhou interrogated her but got nowhere. He then transferred her to the county Domestic Security Division. Ms. Yin is now being held in the Duchang County Detention Center.

Officers from the Domestic Security Division went to her workplace to harass her co-workers on September 11, 2013.

Ms. Yin's Father Also Persecuted

Mr. Yin Yucai, Ms. Yin's father, began to practice Falun Gong in 1996. Ms. Yin learned the practice from him.

After the Chinese communist regime, under the orders of then-head Jiang Zemin, began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, Mr. Yin was sentenced to three years of forced labor for his faith. He was then given an eight-year prison term.

Seeing her father being persecuted, Ms. Yin gave up practicing Falun Gong for a period of time. However, she resumed practicing in 2011. Since then, she has been a very diligent practitioner, despite her husband being against it and even beating her for practicing Falun Gong.

Other Practitioners Persecuted in Duchang County

Recently, many informational materials and posters about Falun Gong appeared on the streets of Duchang County and neighboring townships. The police bureau held a county-wide meeting to plan to secretly arrest practitioners on a large scale.

The following agents of the communist regime have participated in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Duchang County:

1. Zhou Wei, male, 36 or 37 years old. He was originally the head of the police station in Zhouxi Township, where he actively persecuted practitioners. He arrested and imprisoned practitioners, including Wang Huosun and others.

Later he was transferred to the Shishan Village Police Station, and then became the head of the Tutang Township Police Station, where he continues to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

2. Zhan Yuanpeng, about 40 years old, has also actively persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. He worked as a correction officer in Xiyuan Village and Zhouxi Township Police Stations and persecuted practitioners Wang Huosun, Jiang Xiaohua, Yi Qunping and others.

He was once demoted to Dashu Village for taking bribes and being involved in improper male-female relationships.

But, because of his effort in persecuting Falun Gong, he was then promoted to be a correction officer of the Domestic Security Division, where he has been even more active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

3. Liu Shancheng, 40 years old, was the former head of the Cailing Township Police Station. He has been actively involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and arrested practitioners Wang Shenlong, Zhan Yuzhu, Liu Zhaoshen, Cao Dazhang and others.

He is also responsible for the death of practitioner Wang Shenlong and the torture of Chao Dazhang in a forced labor camp.

Because of his active involvement in the persecution, he was promoted to captain of the Criminal Investigation Team of the county police department, and then to deputy political director of the police department.

Liu is now managing the local Domestic Security Division, which is a police organ charged with persecuting Falun Gong.
